Saluto del Presidente del Circolo Canottieri Napoli
Dal 18 e 22 settembre Napoli tornerà ad offrire un’ennesima grande giornata di sport
motonautico.
Sulle acque partenopee noi tutti appassionati di motonautica potremo sentire di nuovo
rombare i motori degli scafi dell’Offshore per un appuntamento molto emozionante.
Lo spettacolo lo assicureranno i molti piloti che partecipano al Campionato Mondiale
Offshore classe 3C, in prova unica, e di sicuro troveremo un’organizzazione perfetta
quale è quella del Circolo Canottieri Napoli.
Il Circolo Canottieri Napoli ha infatti una grande tradizione di sport e il fatto che abbia
scelto un evento di motonautica ci riempie di soddisfazione.
Napoli è davvero lo scenario ideale per competizioni come le nostre che vivono in questa
stagione il momento più esaltante e coinvolgente.
Disputare la nostra gara a pochi metri dal litorale partenopeo consentirà al pubblico di
essere partecipe di un evento ricco di suspence e spettacolo.
Un ringraziamento particolare va al Comune di Napoli e a tutti coloro che hanno contribuito
alla riuscita della manifestazione.
A tutti vanno i miei sinceri auguri di un meritatissimo successo.
Il Circolo Canottieri Napoli è onorato ed orgoglioso di ospitare, quest’anno, il Campionato
Mondiale Offshore Classe 3 C, che sicuramente offrirà agli appassionati ed alla città tutta
l’opportunità di assistere, ancora una volta, ad un evento sportivo di portata internazionale.
Napoli ha tutti i “numeri” per ospitare competizioni di altissimo livello ed i napoletani ben

Novant’anni di vita per la Federazione Italiana Motonautica che fu fondata nel 1923
a Milano ed ebbe come primo presidente Ferdinando di Savoia Principe di Udine.
È costituita ‑ secondo Statuto ‑ dalle Associazioni sportive e da altri organismi che
svolgono l’attività motonautica con finalità agonistica e senza fini di lucro.
La Federazione Italiana Motonautica che ha sede in Milano, organizza, coordina
e regolamenta i suoi cinque settori agonistici (circuito, offshore, moto d’acqua,
endurance, radiocomandata) ai quali si è aggiunto il settore di promozione giovanile
e scolastica, creato proprio per reclutare nuovi piloti ed allargare il bacino di utenza.
L’attività si svolge su tutto il territorio nazionale e in un anno vengono effettuate
circa 50 gare valide per i Campionati nazionali, europei e mondiali che si svolgono
nelle più prestigiose località turistiche. La Federazione Italiana Motonautica inoltre,
sviluppa attività e iniziative di carattere diportistico, turistico e di studio secondo le
facoltà derivanti dalle leggi dello Stato, promuove e attua la formazione di atleti e
tecnici federali e le attività finalizzate al conseguimento di abilitazione alla guida
di mezzi acquatici da competizione e da diporto. Dall’aprile 2009 FIM e FIN sez.
salvamento, nell’intento di sviluppare congiuntamente lo cultura e la sicurezza in
acqua, organizzano corsi per lo formazione dei “Soccorritori con moto d’acque”.

The Circolo Canottieri Napoli with the authorization of the Italian Powerboat Federation (F.I.M.), under
the aegis of Union International Motonautique (UIM) and sponsorship by “ Comune di Napoli “,
organizes in Napoli.
“U.I.M. CLASS 3C WORLD OFFSHORE CHAMPIONSHIP 2013”
the event will be held from 17th to 22nd September 2013
The competition is reserved to power boat designed and built for Offshore Racing only.

03 RUleS
The races will be run under the UIM rules as applicable for 2013, amendments as issued,
by the Organising and/or Race Committee, Race Instructions, Race Briefing and Race Bulletins.
04 Race cOURSe- STaRT TiMe liMiT
All information about the nautical points, buoy colours, start and finish, radio requirement.etc, will be
given during the Administration; start procedure number of laps, 70% rule and other information
concerning the race will be described at Main Driver’s Briefing (see Time Table). Any boat that has
not left the Wet Pit during the Start Procedure must remain in the Wet Pit maximum 30 minutes. They
may then, as directed by PIT Commissioner, proceed around the race course to Start Line.
The Official Nautical Chart is the Sheet nr 84 by Italian Navy Hydrographic Service.
05 RaciNG NUMbeR aND NaTiONal FlaG
The competing boats must apply on the bow of the deck and on each board side of the boat, in a
visible position, the racing number and the national flag, as indicated in the current U.I.M. rule.
The Organizing Committee has the right to affix on each competing boat the advertising sticker of
the Event (UIM 203.6)

All competitors in the UIM Class3C World Offshore Championship 2013 must be authorized in writing
by their National Authority. The Organizing Committee will reserved an area at the Pit for each
registered and participating boat and his mobile repair unit and/or Motor home, in accordance to the
chronological Entry Form and logistic Dry Pits Form arrival.

09 PROTeST
12 iNSURaNce
All drivers ‑both Italian and Foreign‑ regularly entered and allowed to participate at the race are
covered by Civil Responsibility Policy as provided by the Italian Law.
All drivers ‑both Italian and Foreign‑ must sign the “ Race Organiser Liability Form “ this form
releases both the Organiser and the Italian Powerboat Federation and the drivers as well from any
responsibility in case of material and personal injuries (boat and persons).
In case of no signature they will not be allowed to race.
13 liFe VeSTS, HelMeTS & PROTecTiVe clOTHiNG
Any person aboard any boat partaking in races and testing must always wear an adequate life vest,
helmet and protective clothing as per UIM rules. Life vests and helmet must be worn during all races
and official practice runs. Vest may only be removed when effecting repairs and the boat is “off plane”.
The choice and efficiency of a life vest and helmet is the sole responsibility of the wearer.
(according to rules : 205.07‑ 508.25)

Sparco: FIM homologation nr. 2013/002

The Competitors could be subjected to antidoping and ethilometric test as per U.I.M. Rule.
15 SPecial PiTS cONDiTiON
The protest fee is: 80,00 ‑ must accompany all protest relating to sporting matters. The protest form
must be presented to the O.O.D. in writing within one hour from the results posted.
All smoking of any type is prohibited in pit areas. The deemed area for non‑smoking is in the dry pits
and in the wet pits. Competitors are reminded that it is their resposibility to ensure that all their team
members strictly adhere to the rule. Any infrangiment of this rule may incur a fine of 100,00 Euro.
10 FaciliTieS
16 Race PROGRaMMe MODiFicaTiON
For Class 3C Team during the event will be given the following facilities:
‑ 250,00 each Italian team
‑ 500,00 each team from other countries
11 FUel
Refuelling or outside assistance of any sort is not allowed during the race.
No fuelling or pouring or decanting of fuel will be allowed during the race. infringement to this rule
will result in any case of loading and unloading of fuel. Those operations must be carried out in the
designated fuelling area, under strictly supervision of the Pit Official. .Any transference of fuel in the
pits is strictly forbidden. Failure to comply with this regulation may have a fine at discretion of the
Race Committee.
The Organizing Committee in accordance and with the authorization of the U.I.M. and F.I.M. has the
right to make modifications to the current programme and rules, as modifying the dates al timetable
of the event in case of force majeure.
