Registration
Registration: Registration ends on M onday, 20th of M ay but the booking of the hotels can only be
guaranteed until M onday, 5th of M ay.

Registration fee: Please note that the hosting organization charges a conference fee of 140 €.
Optional concert on Thursday, 22nd of May is 25 €. Please prepare for cash payment upon your
registration on Friday morning.

City Reception
City of Helsinki welcomes guests to Helsinki and invites all participants to a City Reception to the Vanha
Raatihuone (Aleksanterinkatu 20, Helsinki). The City Reception will be a light cocktail and we will
continue after it to the Conference Dinner.
Conference Dinner
Conference Dinner will take place at the Restaurant
Walhalla in Suomenlinna. Suomenlinna is a maritime
fortress located off the coast of Helsinki. It is also a
garrison town and a base for archipelago navy. The
construction of the fortress began in 1748. Waterbus
transportation to Suomenlinna leaves from the

Lunches
Lunches take place on Friday at the Finnish National Theatre and on Saturday at the Brasserie le Havre
(Kaivokatu 12, Helsinki).
Accommodation
There are hotel rooms available for the guests until the 5th of M ay and you can book them by using the
registration form. Hotels are located next to the conference place. Payment should be made directly with
the hotel at the time of your stay. Price includes buffet breakfast and customer sauna.

Accompanying person
If you travel with an accompanying person who would like to participate to the program it is possible. The
concert ticket and the dinner fee will be paid by cash at the conference place. Please make the bookings
by the registration form.

Arriving in Helsinki

It takes about 30 minutes by taxi or by bus to the city centrum. Taxi costs about 45-50 € and buses

The time in Finland is GMT+2.
Currency
The Finnish currency unit is the Euro. You can exchange foreign currency and traveller's cheques either in
banks or in Forex currency exchange company (address: Mikonkatu 11 and Helsinki Central railway
station), www.forex.fi/en.
Banks are open from 10.00 to 16.30 on weekdays and closed on Saturdays and Sundays. There are
numerous cash machines (ATMs) open around the clock and accepting all major credit cards. Major credit
cards, in particular Visa, Eurocard and Mastercard are widely accepted almost everywhere (in hotels,
restaurants, shops, taxis, cafeterias, bars, etc.).

Weather in Finland
At the end of the May weather can be quiet surprising in Finland and everything from 5 to almost 30
degrees is normal. So please check the weather report before you travel for example from the Finnish

Please note that the participants are not covered by any insurance (travel, medical, accident or liability)
taken by the organizers. The organizers cannot accept liability for any loss or damage suffered by any
participant or accompanying person or other person during travel to and from the conference or during
the conference. Participants are advised to consider purchasing their own travel insurance and to extend
their personal policy to cover personal possessions.
