DESCRIPTION AND USE
The TSF is a combined machine for the mechanical pre-treatment of civil and industrial waste waters for
separating the solid parts from the sewage.
The process consists of the following steps:
1) Screening, lifting, compaction and de-watering of the solids contained in the waste waters with unloading
into a container (volume reduced by approx. 30-50%);
2) Separation of the sands contained with grain size more than 0.2 mm and SW >= 2.6 kg/dm3); lifting and
de-watering of the sedimented sands with unloading into an external container
3) Flotation and separation for mechanical removal of greases and floating material by blowing in large quantities of air (for the TSF 3 model only).
Installation of the machine is particularly easy and fast, and no special tools are required.
Thanks to the numerous inspection hatches, maintenance is extremely easy and can also be carried out
by personnel who are not highly skilled.

At the top of the waste water treatment plant:
At the top of a pumping station.

BASIC SUPPLY AND OPTIONS
3.1
DESCRIPTION OF THE BASIC MACHINE
The machine basically consists of the following components:
Container in the screening area complete with:
a) inlet piping;
b) safety switch;
c) blowoff with check valve to limit odours;
d) 2” threaded sleeve for level indicator connection.
GCP screw screen, complete with:
a) 5 mm mesh screen;
b) screw WITHOUT CENTRAL SHAFT;
c) compactor in the terminal area;
d) sewage drainage piping of the compaction area;
e) washing system in compaction area (Q=1 l/sec.; P=2.5 bar max.);
f) drive unit consisting of:
- worm gear;
- electric motor.
Sand Separator - Remover, consisting of:
a) container sized to ensure afore-mentioned separation;
b) screw for conveying sands WITHOUT CENTRAL SHAFT complete with drive unit consisting of:
- worm gear;
- electric motor;
- hydraulic seal unit.
b) screw conveyor for removal of sands WITHOUT CENTRAL SHAFT complete with drive unit consisting of:
- worm gear;
- electric motor.
d) system for blowing air to optimize the separation of sands from organic matter and sewage (excluding solenoid valve and blower).
Grease-remover consisting of: (TSF3 only);
a) Self-adjusting floating scraper for collecting and removing greases, complete with drive unit consisting of:
- worm gear;
- electric motor.
b) Greases collection hopper;
c) Drainage pipe with DN125 terminal.
Material conveying chutes made of plastic.
Note - The GCP screen is self-cleaning thanks to the highly wear-resistant plastic brushes installed
on the outer diameter of the screw conveyor.
- The shaftless screw conveyor makes it possible to lift materials of different shapes and sizes,
those that are difficult to convey, while at the same time preventing the possibility of clogging.
The materials of the basic machine are:
-- AISI 304L stainless steel for the outer structural framework;
-- High resistance steel for the screws.

The TSF works in compliance with the following limits of use.

ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS
The motors shown in the Table are WAM® brand and conform to the IEC and DIN European Standards as
regards the connections (cable glands) in the terminal board.
Technical features:
- construction form B5 with flange;
- voltage;
a) 220-240 / 380-420 V 50Hz (440-480V 60Hz );
b) 210-230 / 360-400V 60Hz;
- 4 poles for a rotation speed of approx. 1450 min-1
- insulation Class F;
- motor protection IP55 or IP 65 ( not available for option b);
- Motor Efficiency standard (only for intermittant operating mode S1);
- Motor Efficiency IE2 for all operating mode.
The TSF is supplied complete with safety switches for the protection of the doors which provide access to
the potentially hazardous parts of the machine.
A limit stop sensor is also present (No.. 2) for control of the grease remover carriage (TSF3).

EXTRACTION OF SOLIDS
In the standard configurations with the waste water flow indicated in the Table, the TSF ensures the following performances:
-- Separation of solids present ( max. 500 mg/l );
-- Sedimentation of 90% of sand present (Specific weight of 2.6-2.65 kg/dm3);
-- Separation of floating greases (TSF3 only).

calculated using safety factors greater than those prescribed by Euroinox: this Eurocode is considered to be
the state-of-the-art on the matter of the design of metallic structures made of stainless steel.
