Thanks To Our - Easton Farmers` Market
2013 Vendor List History The Easton Farmers’ market was established in 1752, the year of the City’s founding. For more than two centuries farmers and merchants have gathered in Easton’s “Great Square” to peddle their fresh food and handcrafted wares. Easton’s proximity to Philadelphia and New York City and its unique place at the confluence of the Delaware and Lehigh rivers made it a natural site for regional commerce and community gatherings. In fact, on July 8, 1776, the Great Square (now known as Centre Square) was the site for one of only three public readings of the Declaration of Independence. Today the Easton Farmers’ Market remains a rich and colorful piece of Easton’s heritage. Residing in its original birthplace, the market draws on its deep roots and offers visitors a vibrant shopping experience and an amazing sense of community spirit. Buy Local – Eat Fresh – Live Healthy All products sold at the Easton Farmers’ Market are locally grown and produced. The vast majority of the produce is naturally/organically grown. All meat and dairy is antibiotic and hormone-free. Animals are pasture-raised . Prepared food and ready-to-eat vendors source ingredients from local farms whenever possible. All farms undergo a full on-site inspection.
