This year, our Peer to Peer support group project has
expanded. We will add still more groups and we have
increased our efforts to assist motivated individuals to
find employment, housing and to return to productive
lives. The Ray of Hope Day Center continues to be a
place for quiet reflection and loving acceptance — and
assistance to all who ask for our services.

… and to all those who contribute to the work of the MCWC,
we extend our most sincere gratitude!
We will be opening our doors in November 2010 for the
tenth year and it seems like we started our mission
just yesterday. Our needs have not changed much: We
are always very much in need of more churches to host
shelters and fill the cold-weather weeks. If you know
of an interested church or other building, please call us
at (586) 321-0998.
Again, many thanks to all of you for everything you do
for the homeless.

On Stage:
Salute
to the
Superstars
Willie Nelson
Since the age of 14, Jeff Carr has
been performing the music of the
legendary Willie Nelson. He won
plenty of talent competitions but
a highlight of his career was performing as an opening act for
Johnny Cash and Jerry Lee Lewis in
1980. Most recently in June 2009,
he had the pleasure of meeting his
hero.
"I believe my tribute show is an
adequate representation of the man, his music, and his legend," Carr
said.
Buddy Holly
The music of Buddy Holly will never die as long as Tom Carroll can
perform his breath-taking tribute to the legendary artist. Rolling
Stone ranked Holly #13 among “The Fifty Greatest Artists of All
Time.”
Tom grew up in a house full of Buddy Holly records so the music was
impressed on him at a very young age. You will enjoy his high-energy
performance of songs like “Peggy Sue” and “That’ll be the Day.”
Also performing tonight: Nat King Cole

From the executive director …
In gratitude to family, friends and
St. Blasé parishioners for their
generous and on-going support of the
Macomb County Warming Center.
Pat and Andrea Byrne
As executive director for the Macomb County Warming Center, I am very grateful that you are here, joining us in this
great and entertaining evening. I thank all who join us tonight, and pray for all of you as well as our many supporters
who cannot be here.
This year, we have continued, with the help of our partner
churches , to provide shelter for the homeless. We have also
gratefully provided services at our Ray of Hope Day Center,
where so many of our guests have found employment, special
services if they are disabled, and housing. Our Peer to Peer
support group project continues to develop and expand.
This past season, the Warming Center and Ray of Hope
served 815 individuals. We provided shelter and meals to an
average of 80 guests per night. The Ray of Hope Day Center
has assisted more than 120 guests to apply for Section 8
housing. We continue to partner with CARE, Lenscrafter Gift
of Sight program, Liberties, MCREST, MATTS and many
other local services to provide needed care for our guests.
We are blessed with recent successes for our Peer members,
including several who are now attending classes at Macomb
Community College and others who have found housing.
There is no way to adequately thank those churches who provide shelter space, the many wonderful volunteers, those
foundations, churches, businesses and individuals who sacrifice to provide us with much needed financial assistance.
Please feel free to call (586) 321-0998 if you would like
more information about our programs and services.
Love to all!

On Stage:
Salute
to the
Superstars
The Blues
Brothers & The
Radio City Band
Blessings on all who
provided love and care
for another successful
season!
From St. Sylvester Church
Steve Baker and Ray
Paschall as the Blues
Brothers have costuming with all the
details, right down to
the tattoos on the
knuckles and the
cheese whiz. More
important, they’ve
got the moves and
the music to make
them Michigan's top
act performing a tribute to the legendary
Blues Brothers.
They perform music from both Blues Brothers movies. "We work
continuously to enhance, perfect and strengthen our act to pay the
proper tribute to John Belushi and Dan Akroyd,” Steve said.
Tim McGraw
John Allen was converted to a full-time country music fan in 1995
and the song that hooked him was Tim McGraw’s “Don’t Take The
Girl”. It wasn’t until the fall of 2004 that he was asked by a friend if
he would consider becoming a tribute artist to the multi-award
winning performer. This is when Allen took his lifelong love of music,
his incredible physical likeness to Tim along with his previously hidden ability to sing and turned it into his passion. Allen has created
his clever byline of AllenAsTim and that’s just what you’ll think after
having seen and heard this talented artist perform live.
With love and
deepest gratitude to our
board, supporters,
churches, community
partners, volunteers
and staff for your
ongoing commitment
to the mission of the
Macomb County
Warming Center.
