Hackel Community Corrections For Immediate Release Barbara Caskey (586) 307-9465 Media Contact: Barbara.Caskey@macombgov.org Date: June 10, 2015 Macomb County seeks comments on Justice Assistance Grant Macomb County Community Corrections, the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office and the Warren Police Department are applying for a United States Department of Justice grant that is designed to combat crime. The money from the grant will go to aid several law enforcement projects including support for offenders with substance abuse issues through Macomb County Community Corrections’ jail diversion program, the Sheriff’s Office will replace outdated mobile computer equipment for squad cars and the Warren Police Department will use the funds for technological upgrades and replacement, including updated computers and consoles. The public is invited to review the application and to make comments. It will be available for inspection from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on June 19 at the Macomb County Office of Community Corrections, 43565 Elizabeth Road, Mount Clemens.
