Macomb County seeks comments on Justice Assistance Grant
Macomb County Community Corrections, the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office and the Warren Police
Department are applying for a United States Department of Justice grant that is designed to combat
crime.
The money from the grant will go to aid several law enforcement projects including support for
offenders with substance abuse issues through Macomb County Community Corrections’ jail diversion
program, the Sheriff’s Office will replace outdated mobile computer equipment for squad cars and the
Warren Police Department will use the funds for technological upgrades and replacement, including
updated computers and consoles.
The public is invited to review the application and to make comments. It will be available for
inspection from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on June 19 at the Macomb County Office of Community Corrections,
43565 Elizabeth Road, Mount Clemens.
For more information, call the Macomb County Community Corrections office at (586) 307-9443.
