Haken Audio Support Procedure
Haken Audio Support Procedure Sunday, 24 March, 2013 About this document This document outlines the procedure for sending basic information about your Continuum to Haken Audio for technical support. Doing this procedure when making an initial support request will speed up the problem solving for everyone involved. Send the requested ZIP file outlined at the end of this document and text describing your situation to Lippold@HakenAudio.com. You can also consult the Haken Audio User’s Group, as both Ed and Lippold regularly read the User Group feed. Note: Mac screen images are shown below, however PC users can follow the same procedure. 1 Step 1: Create a Folder for your files Create a folder that will act as a receptacle for all your support files. Name is something useful like: YourNameYearMonthDay Which, if I was doing it, would be like this: EdmundEagan20130324 H a k e n 2 A u d i o - C V C U s e r ’ s G u i d e Step 1: Create Screen Shot Dumps Take a screen shot capture of each of the three pages of the Continuum Editor: Continuum Map Global Place these Screen Shots inside the folder that you created. Pa g e 2 H a k e n 3 A u d i o - C V C U s e r ’ s G u i d e Create a Profile and rename it On the Continuum Editor Global Page, click on the Create Profile button. After the percentage bar disappears, a dialog box will open up: Rename the File from Continuum Profile.mid to YourName.mid. Save it to the folder you created. 4 Make a copy of your MidiPorts.txt file The MidiPorts.txt file is located in the Data folder in the Continuum Editor folder. Copy it, and paste the copy into the folder you created. Your folder should now have contents something like this. ZIP up and email the resulting .zip file to Lippold@HakenAudio.com. Add text to your email explaining what your issue is. Pa g e 3
