We’re We’reCelebrating Celebrating British BritishFood Food British Food Fortnight Louth Food Trail September 17 - October 2 www.lovebritishfood.co.uk www.lovebritishfood.co.uk Official Official Sponsor Sponsor THE biggest annual national celebration of British food and drink takes place between September 17 and October 2, 2016. The campaign, launched in 2002, is held in the Autumn at the same time as harvest festival and has become THE opportunity for anybody working in any aspect of food and drink to promote all that is great about British food and the benefits of buying and eating from our home produced larder. Every year businesses and organisations across the UK take part, enjoying the commercial benefits that participation brings. WELCOME to Louth ... ... a traditional English market town where agricultural heritage and wealth of fresh local produce justify the town’s claim as “The larder of Lincolnshire.” Some of the nation’s finest vegetables, meat, poultry, game, cheeses and breads are produced, distributed, sold and enjoyed here. They include famed Lincolnshire sausages, plum bread, stuffed chine, samphire and other local delights, available in award-winning shops and eateries as well as the town’s lively street markets. But Louth has more than quality food – it is a true shopping experience. Unlike towns that have lost their family-owned stores to the big High Street chains and supermarkets, Louth has an abundance of speciality shops selling everything from fashion to furniture, crafts to cookware and to suit all budgets. Add all this to Louth’s Georgian charm, friendly people, magnificent church and ideal location between the tranquil Lincolnshire Wolds and the coast and you have a place you will want to visit time and time again!
