manufacturers. The RAUKANTEX SA Standard
Range provides you with a choice of uni-colour
and décor edgeband matched perfectly to
boards supplied into the industry by PG Bison,
Sonae Novobord and Evopan.

The edgeband is available in a wide array of
sizes to suit local board thicknesses and
applications. It is suitable for processing on
all hot-melt adhesive edgebanders.

RAUKANTEX Mirror Gloss
Shine at the highest level
Glossy, reflective surfaces are the hot topic in
current furniture design. In keeping with this
trend, REHAU’s Collection has been expanded
to include an innovative “Mirror Gloss” finish
– setting a new standard with a gloss level of
over 85 points.
The “Mirror Gloss” finishes are available in a
range of uni-colours, size 23 x 1.3 mm in both
20 m and 100 m rolls.
RAUKANTEX Magic 3D
Edgeband in new dimensions
RAUKANTEX Magic 3D’s transparent surface
creates unique, three-dimensional effects
and gives the decor an even more striking
appearance. This novel edgeband also
possesses excellent processing properties. It
applies easily around corners, has a perfect
finish without the need for extra processing,
polishes easily and maintains a consistent
decor appearance even on milled radii.
RAUKANTEX Magic 3D is part of REHAU’s
Express Collection – available in 23 x 2 mm in
a wide range of attractive decors.
The SA Premium Collection is available in
100 m and 20 m rolls.

VENEERS
SA STANDARD RANGE
VENEERS
REHAU supplies a range of continuous laminated
veneer edgebanding to suit local woods. The
veneers are soft in application and require little or
no hand sanding to obtain a perfect edge. They are
easily worked to ensure a superior edge finish.

Veneers use neither PVA nor urea formaldehyde
glue and will thus not experience seepage
problems of the bonding glue to the surface
layers.
The veneers are available in industry-standard
sizes.
ERGOSOFT
EDGING THAT PROTECTS
Ergosoft edgeband makes soft lines out of hard
edges. This ergonomic edge is the preferred finish
for worktops and counters.
Two profile shapes are available, being teardrop
or crescent form. Ergosoft is supplied in a variety
of colours to suit a wide range of 32 mm boards.
Choose from black, charcoal, tan and silver.
Ergosoft can be manufactured in othery colours
on request.
Ergosoft is fixed to the pre-routed edge of the
board with a barb. The profile is pre-tensioned
ensuring a close fit. For installation of Ergosoft
on small radii, the barb has to be notched.

this new glass tambour door system. It uses
safety glass slats to throw light on the cabinet
contents without revealing too much. This
innovative system creates the translucent glazed
surfaces so essential to modern kitchen design.
The Vetro-line is easy to install and runs smoothly
due to its innovative design. Save installation
time and money with the new ready to install
C-Box cassette. Simply fasten the module into
the carcass and you have a high-quality tambour
door cabinet ready for use in no time at all.
The single pane safety glass stands up to major
stresses, does not scratch and has a distinct
appeal due to its translucent look. The material
is easy to care for and easy to clean. The same
applies to the frame profiles that round off the
high-quality look by virtue of their “cool”
aluminium finish.

REHAU provides perfectly matching roller shutter
systems and accessories for individual cupboard
design.
Three design ranges determine the appearance of
your cupboard:
– Uni-colour profiles in silver décor, black,
charcoal, folkstone grey, white and tan;
– Woodgrain décor profiles in Vancouver Maple,
Natural Oak, Bavarian Beech and Burgan
Mahogany;
– White translucent profiles.
The roller shutter door can be configured to one
of three possible options:
1. The door can run into the back of the cupboard
where it is concealed behind a false back;
2. It can roll up in a snail track at one of the
sides; or
3. Two doors can close in the front middle of
the cupboard.

AN INTELLIGENT SOLUTION FOR SOUND ABSORPTION
The trend in office architecture is gravitating towards large open-plan spaces.
However, this upsets the balance of the room’s acoustics and employees are subjected daily to increased
noise levels at work. Nowadays partitions are disappearing in favour of an open-plan concept and even
sound-insulating carpet often has to give way to more attractive parquet flooring.
New technical solutions must therefore be found to ensure harmony between modern architecture and
good room acoustics. However, it is above all the interaction of the best configuration of the floor, ceiling,
walls and furniture that determines the possibilities for the optimum acoustics.
REHAU has registered numerous patents for the RAUVOLET acoustic-line roller shutter system. REHAU is
the first company to successfully develop a system that is designed for sound absorption through the use
of special roller shutter profiles in cupboards. REHAU’s development is a highly effective sound absorber
that can be used not only in cabinets but also in partition walls.

HOW IT WORKS
SOPHISTICATED DESIGN – EFFECTIVE SOUND ABSORPTION
RAUVOLET acoustic-line has a special profile geometry with punched holes along the length of the profile
and an effective system inside the hollow section.
The acoustic nonwoven fabric inside the profile acts as an absorption material, soaking up the sound wave
energy when it enters the profile and at the same time preventing it from re-emerging. This greatly reduces
the reverberation time in the room.
RAUVOLET acoustic-line absorbs noise across the whole frequency range that covers human speech and
the majority of noises throughout the working day, proving itself to be a product with linear absorption.
In most frequency ranges, this patented product absorbs almost seven times as much sound as a
conventional cabinet. On average, the absorption capacity is between 75% and 80%.

WOODWORKING TOOLS
The Adamik Manual Speed is an ingenious handheld machine that allows comfortable application of edgeband in the workshop
or on site. It weighs only 8,9 kg and is virtually weightless during operation due to its clever innovative design. It requires single
phase power and is ready for use within 8 minutes from switching on.
The portable edgebander can be used to apply PVC, ABS, veneer or melamine edgeband to boards ranging from 10 mm to
47 mm thick using edgeband from 0,4 mm to 3 mm thick.
The Adamik portable edgebander can be successfully used in workshops as fixed table-top option as shown in photos 3 and
4 below. REHAU supplies Henkel Dorus KS224/2 EVA Hotmelt glue for use with the portable edgebander.

RAUVISIO MINERAL
INNOVATIVE SURFACE SOLUTIONS BY REHAU
RAUVISIO Mineral is a solid, through-coloured
mineral material consisting of one-third acrylic
resin and two-thirds Alumina Trihydrate (ATH) with
colour pigments. The positive characteristics of the
individual components combine to form a material
with a wide variety of applications and a stone-like
appearance, a warm pleasant feel and outstanding
processing properties.
RAUVISIO Mineral is ideally suited for stylish
and tailor-made design solutions in the kitchen,
bathroom and for upmarket interior fittings. The
range comprises a complete system of solid sheets,
worktops, processing accessories and moulded
components.
