PLANT DESCRIPTION: The Talipot Palm is a true giant, growing to over 60’ tall
here in Florida. One of the fronds can be between 15’-25’ wide attached to
a 10’-15’ long petiole. It is a very slow grower. The Talipot Palm grows best
in moist well-drained soils in full sun. It can live to around 80 years before it
blooms and then will die after the fruit develop. The Talipot Palm is a jawdropping specimen for a special situation.
