Jazz Globus
An International Jazz Festival
November 28 - December 3 "Harmonia" Culture Centre Hall
Jerusalem is pleased to host the 9th international jazz festival "Jazz Globus".
The festival will mark this year, special dates of the Jazz history: birth dates of
famous musicians, dates of album releases, and dates of important premieres.
70 Israeli and foreign musicians will play in various styles: classical and
experimental, electronic and ethnic. The festival will highlight European jazz, and
especially jazz musicians from north Europe and Scandinavian countries. At the
same time American and local jazz will be impressively represented.
The guests list will include the American singer Anita King; the famous percussionist
Gunter Sommer ; the brilliant Finnish pianist Kari Ikonen; the Swiss Modus quartet
that plays ethno-jazz; the Russian trimpbone player Vitaly Vladimorov; the Israeli
Swedish quartet Nybakat!, the Slovenic drummer Gaspar Bertonsel and others.
The Israeli musicians list will include members of the Israeli musical elite, including
renowned musicians like saxophone players Boris Gammer and Albert Beger; and
young international musicians, many of which spent many years in New York, like
the percussion player Gilad Dobrecki; pianist Ant Fort; and the trombone player
Yonatan Wolach.
