He grew up in Oslo and educated in England at the London International Film School from 1990 to 1993. He made his directorial debut with the short film Montana in 1993 . He continued with the shorts he directed the feature film Jonny Vang in 2003 . The film had its premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival. In 2006 he directed The Bothersome Man . The film won the ACID Award at the Cannes Film Festival and the Amanda Award for Best Director. Director’s Biography: Giuliano Montaldo is internationally renowned as one of the major contemporary directors of the Italian Cinema. Born in 1930 in Genoa, he started his career as an actor (Achtung! Banditi!, 1952; Cronache di poveri amanti, 1954).
