Jarczyk Samir Deliormanli Dr. Dirk Groenewegen Mr. Jarczyk is the president & CEO at ktMINE and co-chair of the LESI IP Valuation Committee. Mr. Deliormanli is the Innovation and IPR Manager at Koc Holding A.Ş. (a Fortune 500 Company) and the president of the LES Turkey. Mr. Groenewegen holds a Masters’ degree in chemical engineering and a PhD in microbiology. He recognized that intellectual assets represent up to 80% of corporate value, but that it was impossible to figure out a company's innovation strategy by reading its filings or listening to management. So he started a company to find scattered data which, once organized and connected, leads to the prediction of companies’ strategies. Taking it further, he challenged conventional pricing models by offering data on a pay-as-you-go basis, making data accessible to small and large businesses alike. Today, his company collaborates with major players such as Thomson Reuters and Bloomberg, and has prominent customers in consulting, law, financial services and government. He took ktMINE from a startup with no customers to over 5,000 global users. Stella Law Ms. Law is a Director at Crowe Horwath (HK) Consulting & Valuation Limited and specializes in valuation of business and intangible assets. Previously, she was the Director of the valuation department of a S&P 500 company. She has covered industries including but not limited to, mining, infrastructure, food & beverage, environmental protection, manufacturing, property and construction, apparel. She is an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) of the American Society of Appraisers, Member of Royal Institution Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) and Registered Business Valuers of the Hong Kong Business Valuation Forum (HKBVF). Andrzej Półkoszek Mr. Półkoszek is an economic and financial consultant, passionate for analytical tools for practical purposes, including the management of the business and its intangible assets. He has an expertise in business consultancy with regard to financial intelligence. He is an author of numerous valuations of intangible assets, including patents, research and development, licenses, trademarks and wellknown Polish brands, as well as enterprises and their economic and financial analyzes. He gained experience in the airline, industry, foreign trade and banking [adviser to Credit Department IN BRE Bank SA]. Paulina Sommerrey Ms. Sommerrey is a legal adviser, partner at the Sommerrey & Partners. She graduated from Faculty of Law and Administration of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. She completed postgraduate studies on tax and revenue service. She specializes in commercial and civil law and law on public procurement. She has broad experience in corporate consulting and court representation, she deals with tax aspects of Intellectual Property. He is responsible for intellectual property, building innovation management models, corporate entrepreneurship programmes, IP management and licensing models for Koc Group companies operating in various industries, such as energy, finance, automotive, consumer durables and defence. He is also responsible for analysing and advising Koc Group companies on strategy options from innovation and IP perspectives. He is a member of the Inventram investment committee, LES International and the IP Rights Working Group of the TUSIAD. He is one of the very few Turkish licensing professionals to have met the requirements to be a Certified Licensing Professional. Dominika Boehm, MBA Ms. Boehm has been working in the Licensing and Transactions department at Siemens AG since 2009. Within this department she is responsible for conducting monetary valuations of intellectual property (IP) and counseling on various IP valuations inquires. In her role within the department Ms. Boehm further handles license contract compliance issues and advises on various M&A topics. She is a member of the Licensing Executive Society (LES) in Germany and participates with the IP valuation working group. William Edward Bird Mr. Bird works with the IPLodge bvba in Belgium and Patentive in Germany. He has graduated from the Queen's College, University of Cambridge, UK with an MA in Natural Sciences, majoring in Physics. He holds a Certificate in Intellectual Property from Queens' College London and is UK chartered electrical and electronics engineer. He has worked as an engineer and manager in process and product development, project management and marketing in multinational companies from which he has obtained a wide experience of the requirements and functioning of an industrial company. He has expertise in both Common Law and codified legal systems, in technology transfer licensing and in the setting up of spin-off companies. He is a qualified British, German and European patent attorney and is a tutor at CEIPI, has lectured for Pharmed, VUB Brussels ICAB Photonics, Vlerick School of Management, University of Leuven among others. He is an accredited tutor of the Licensing Executives Society Benelux. www.les-poland.pl After an international career as R&Dmanager in pharmaceutical and chemical multinationals in Germany and the Netherlands, he became a license mediation and new-business consultant, now with 20+ years’ experience. He is an active participant in many international networks, like the Licensing International Society, the Parental Drug Association and various other organizations involved in Regenerative Medicine, Cell- and Gene Therapy, Hematology & Oncology. In 2007 he founded Glycostem Therapeutics, a Netherlands based startup company in Cell Therapy, which he served as CEO until 2014 and now as board director. Since 2014 he is also active with his new company Cells4Therapy in helping start-ups in the field of regenerative medicine, cell and gene therapy to create the right business structure for attracting funding, achieve scale up and potential for future commercial success. Michał Siciarek Mr. Siciarek is an advocate, partner at the LDS Łazewski Depo & Partners. He has graduated from the Warsaw University Law School, Warsaw Catholic University Musicology and Jagiellonian University in Kraków (Postgraduate Degree in Copyright and Publishing Law). He specializes in advising on trademark enforcement and litigation, including complex penal, administrative and customs anti-counterfeiting programs and on advertising and product marking strategies, copyright issues and unfair competition. He is a member of INTA (Enforcement Committee), Marques (Brands and Marketing Team) and AIPPI. Between 2004-2008 he chaired the Intellectual Property Rights Committee at the American Chamber of Commerce in Poland. He is an arbitrator of the Court of Arbitration of Audiovisual Market. Mr. Siciarek is recommended in the Legal 500: Europe, Middle East & Africa 2013's editorial. Mateusz Knecht Mr. Knecht is an advocate, senior specialist in the field of patents in the Industrial Development Agency (Agencja Rozwoju Przemysłu), where he cooperated, inter alia, in creation of the “Technology Transfer Platform”. He has gained experience working for renowned Polish law firms. Specializes mainly in Industrial Property (trademarks, patents, industrial designs) and copyright law.
