OTIS ART and DESIGN TOURS BRAZIL 2016 22-31 May Brazil 2014 at MAC, the Museu de Arte Contemporânea de Niterói ARCHITECTURE/ LANDSCAPE/ INTERIORS BRAZIL 2016 will present participants with information about and unique experiences within two major urban centers of Brazil: São Paulo, the largest metropolitan area (20 million inhabitants) in the southern hemisphere with its seemingly endless field of towers interspersed with significant architecture, landscapes and interiors, and Rio de Janeiro, with its extant Imperial and Colonial fabric, modern and contemporary architecture, as well as its ubiquitous favelas. You will spend three days in São Paulo and five days in Rio de Janeiro to tour the cities and visit modern and contemporary architecture, interiors, landscape and urban infrastructure projects such as Paulo Mendes de Rocha’s Museu Brasileiro da Escultura, Marcio Kogan’s Cultural Bookstore, Beco do Batman Graffiti in Vila Madelana, Oscar Niemeyer’s Museu de Arte Contemporânea de Niterói, the Teleferico Do Alemao in the Complexo do Alemão (favela), Diller Scofido + Renfro’s MIS in Copacabana, and MORE!
