#BAO2014 Back At One Lights Out Mt. Calvary Pentecostal Church Suffragan Bishop C. Shawn Tyson, Pastor James&Tyson&II,&Dominion&Youth&Leader “What is “Back at One?” “Back at One” is a weekend specifically designed for the youth of various denominations, organizations, and cultures to join together for a time of worship, teaching, and fellowship. Originating in 2012, The Lord commissioned the visionary, Minister James Tyson II, to call this generation back to unity. Without question this was a great task, but standing confident on the word of God, the support of his pastor/father, the Honorable Suffragan Bishop C. Tyson, and the call to destiny, he along with the Dominion Youth Ecclesia, stepped out on faith to produce this "GOD-Conference". Youth from both far and near come to seek the mind of God for this season and to develop relationships with other youth of various walks of life. The “Back at One” Conference includes dynamic teaching, holistic development, and unrestricted worship, but an essential component of this conference is fellowship. Awesome friendships and divine connections have been birthed during the time spent at "Back at One". There are countless testimonies that reflect the impact "Back at One" has had on those in attendance. Souls have been saved, lives have been changed, youth have been delivered from bondage, purpose has been birthed, and world changers have been produced. We aim to influence young people to rediscover the original thought God had in His mind of them before the foundation of the world. Lorem Ipsum Dolor #BAO2014 Spring 2016 Welcome Back: The Vision “Lights Out!” “Then spake Solomon, The Lord said that he would dwell in the thick darkness.” On August 14, 2003, a hot summer afternoon, a widespread power outage struck parts of the Northeastern United States and Canada, affecting an estimated 55 million people. According to the Huffington Post, “An aging electrical grid, a series of technology flaws and a few overgrown trees led to a cascading series of outages stretching from New York City to Ohio and up into Ontario, Canada.” After 11 years, the 2003 Northeast Blackout is considered to be the greatest blackout that the United States of America has ever experienced. While the facts and information surrounding the great blackout are fascinating in the mass effect that it had in the Northeast and parts of Canada, our generation is getting ready to shift into a time and place that was experienced by Solomon and the priests in 1 Kings 8, that shall be greater than what America saw in 2003. After the building and the furnishing of the temple was complete (1 Kings 6-7), the Bible declares that, “Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, to Jerusalem that they might bring up the ark of the covenant of the Lord out of the city of David, which is Zion.” (1 Kings 8: 1) The Bible shares with us that the priests took up and placed the Ark of the Covenant in the Most Holy Place beneath the wings of the cherubim. According to the Word of the Lord, the Most Holy Place was constructed so that no outside light would be visible through the stone and cedar boards. As the priests were coming out of the holy place, the Bible shares with us that the cloud filled the House of the Lord. The priests could not continue their service because of the cloud, for the glorious presence of the Lord filled the Temple. This cloud, as it was with Moses (Exodus 40:34), was a visible representation of the presence of God and it was a testimony of God’s gracious acceptance of the temple. After the time, preparation, energy, and following of the explicit instructions of God, King Solomon lifts his voice in verse 12 and says, “The Lord said that he would dwell in the thick darkness.” This year the Spirit of the Lord is calling “Back at One” into the thick darkness. In 2003, the great Northeast Blackout was caused by the failing of technology and nature. However, the time and place that God is calling our generation to is not called a “blackout”. The time and place that God has called our generation to is called a “GODout”! It is in the “GOD-out” that nothing is visible except God himself. The lights of pride, division, low self-esteem, bondage, popularity, entitlement, sin, and anything outside of the will of God MUST GO OUT. Then and only then will GOD alone be seen in the thick darkness. With the knowledge of the scripture, the Lord has ordained “Back at One 2014”: “Lights Out!” This year God has summoned us back to the origin of this great “GOD-Conference”, and that is to assemble GOD-seekers who will be relentless in their pursuit of Him. During this gathering, youth from different denominations, organizations, cities, and cultures will be directed into the darkness through worship, teaching, preaching, and fellowship. This generation must be led into the “GOD-out” so that their administrations, sacred arts ministries, business pursuits, educational endeavors and spiritual lives will be operated in Kingdom Authority. Standing with empty hands, ready to receive the tools to turn out every light shining brighter than the light of God, be prepared to experience a once in a generation moment. Get ready…LIGHTS OUT! 2 1 2 Lorem Ipsum Dolor Spring 2016 #BAO2014 Letter to the “Back at One 2014” Conference Delegates Dear “Back to One” Delegate: Christian greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ! Welcome to the City of God! The Dominion Youth Ecclesia of Calvary Ministries International and I are honored to host you for the next three days. We believe that this “Lights Out!” weekend has been designated in eternity to get you in alignment with the mind and heart of God concerning your destiny and the dimension that He is calling us, the ministry, our businesses, and our organizations to. to the numerical status of one, but the lights of division will go out, and God’s light of unity will shine brightly in the hearts of all in attendance. My father and mother, the Honorable Suffragan Bishop C. Shawn and Lady Krista Tyson, the Dominion Youth Ecclesia, and I are praying you will experience God in the thick darkness where your life will forever be changed. I earnestly admonish you not to expect simply a youth conference, but rather anticipate an encounter with God. Understand that the time you have just entered into is a defining moment in destiny that will leave a timeless imprint upon your heart and mind. It is in this place, the “Back at One” Conference, where we shall experience the “God-OUT” and only God shall be visible in the thick darkness. Through your active participation and exposure to the presence of God, He will begin to beckon you behind the veil and His cloud shall fill your atmosphere. My friend, you have just stepped into the beginning of the greatest days of your life! Humbly submitted, James E. Tyson, II Dominion Youth Leader It is most imperative that you do not miss one word or a moment of worship during this weekend. Rid yourself of all distractions or hindrances that will prevent you from reaching God in this hour of “unlimited access”. Where God desires to take us, one cannot afford to be detained or retained by outside influences. This weekend has been studded with the stars of God in music and the Word. Each speaker, worshipper, and& presenter&has&been&equipped&to&challenge,&encourage,& direct, and unify the body of Christ, and to release you into the NOW movement of God. & It is my prayer and heart’s desire that we not only return 3 1 2 #BAO2014 Spring 2016 Lorem Ipsum Dolor We celebrate our conference host; one of the most influential and impactful leaders of our generation Min. James E. Tyson II who personifies innovation and excellence. The Back at One Conference has penetrated denominational and organizational barriers and has been an epicenter of transformation and revival, and this year will be no exception. “…they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly…” Acts 2:1-2 KJV If we can synchronize ourselves as children of God horizontally in heart, mind, and motives, then we places ourselves in position to synchronize ourselves vertically with the mind and will of God. If we refuse to become concerned about who gets the credit, then God can get the glory. What makes the dedication of the temple so special is that finally the presence of God will shift from temporary residences to a permanent dwelling place. In the Old Testament, we see various theophanies, moments, glimpses of glory, Moses at the burning Bush, through the exodus from Egypt, through the wilderness, to the promise land as a pillar of cloud by day, a pillar of fire by night. The shift from the Old Testament vis-a-vis the New Testament is that the Holy Spirit would no longer come upon individuals for a moment, but would now dwell within individuals consistently. We have reverted and minimized our experience of God’s glory to 4 walls of a sanctuary on Sunday morning. For far too long we have settled for a temporary visitation, when God desires permanent habitation. We have relegated the anointing to a “spiritual steroid” of sorts where we have reduced it to something designed to enhance our performance during a church service, when in fact God desires to manifest Glory in every area of our lives, not simply in our churches, but in our homes, campuses, and corporations. Real Christianity isn’t a part of our lives that we can put on and off; it is our life and “…in Him we live, we move, and have our being.” This year's theme "Lights Out" has been explicated from I Kings 8:10-12. 10 And it came to pass, when the priests were come out of the holy place, that the cloud filled the house of the LORD, 11 So that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of the LORD. 12 Then spake Solomon, The LORD said that he would dwell in the thick darkness. 13 I have surely built thee an house to dwell in, a settled place for thee to abide in for ever. I Kings 8:1-12 KJV In order to fully grasp the content of this verse we must provide context. King Solomon is tasked with gathering all the elders and heads of the tribes to dedicate the temple of the Lord, a process that required sacrifice, ultimately culminating in complete saturation of the presence of God. Sacrifice is a prerequisite to an encounter with the glory of God. Sacrifice has always preceded a move of God. The brazen altar or altar of sacrifice preceded the most Holy Place in the temple, the sacrifice of Jesus Christ was a prerequisite to regaining access to God the Father. Currently everyone wants the miracle of a resurrection but no one wants the sacrifice of death. Our central character in this passage is King Solomon. He is the son of David. It is noteworthy that King Solomon is completing an assignment that was birthed in the heart of his father King David. One of the schemes of the enemy is to create a divide between generations. By sabotaging communication, connection between generations is severed. Former generations are characterized as out of touch while latter generations are often characterized as lacking wisdom, when in actuality, former and latter generations aren’t contradictory but rather complimentary. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. Romans 12:1 KJV And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: Joel 2:28 KJV We must sacrifice our will, our desires, our flesh, to experience not only an individual but a corporate move of God. Complete sacrifice will lead to complete saturation. The question is how bad do you want it? Are we satisfied with the mundane and the mediocre? Are we satisfied with paying homage to the movements of God in the past or are we willing to sacrifice to instigate a movement in the present? You weren’t created to be average, but are designed and destined for greatness, this conference marks a shift from the intangible to the tangible, from merely proclamation to manifestation, expect God’s glory to penetrate every area of your life, you and everyone and everything connected to you will never be the same. The move of God that we will participate in will be transgenerational, It will be both powerful and relevant. Before the dedication of the temple, King Solomon must assemble the elders and heads of the tribes. One of the most difficult things to accomplish is unity. The enemy is aware of the power that is realized through unity; which is why he is a master at the art of division. It seems that if an appeal to unity is made, intrinsically we either rebel, or refuse to move, under the auspices of analysis. It is the hesitancy that causes a real authentic move of God to be paralyzed because it is analyzed and not acquiesced by faith. Humbly Submitted, Eld. Christopher Foster, MA.T Youth & Young Adult Pastor Covenant Worship Center, Berkeley CA Youth President California District Council PYPU A precursor to a Pentecostal proportioned move of God is unity. 4 & Lorem Ipsum Dolor Spring #BAO2014 2016 Registration Schedule ! It was nominated for seven Rhythm of Gospel Awards and is requested daily by gospel music listeners from every region of our country.
