be yours.
What’s involved?
Invisalign offers a virtually
invisible method of straightening
your teeth without braces.
Invisalign treatment involves changing aligners
approximately every two weeks, moving your teeth into
straighter position step by step. And unlike braces, these
clear aligners can be removed while you eat and brush
your teeth as usual. This process usually takes about 12
months to complete.

tep 1: Visit an Invisalign Accredited Orthodontist or
S
Dentist
During the initial visit, your orthodontist or dentist will
evaluate, assess, determine if Invisalign is appropriate for
you and if so discuss the course of treatment with you.
Your dentist will take bite impressions of your teeth and will
send these to Invisalign for processing.
Step 2: Invisalign makes your aligners
to transform your bite impressions into a custom-made series of
clear and removable aligners.
Step 3: You receive your clear aligners in a few weeks.
During your next visit to your orthodontist or dentist, you will
receive your first set of clear aligners. Your dentist will most likely
give you a few additional sets to wear before your next visit.
Step 4: You wear your aligners.
You’ll wear each set of clear aligners day and night for about
2 weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss.
Patients, on average, complete treatment in approximately one
year. You’ll visit your orthodontist or dentist at regular intervals
to check your progress.
Step 5: You’ve finished treatment!
Congratulations! When you’re finished wearing each clear
aligner in the series, your treatment will be complete and you
will have straighter teeth

How does Invisalign work?
Invisalign uses 3-D computer imaging technology to depict the complete treatment plan from the initial position to the final desired position from which a series of
custom-made, clear “aligners” are produced. Each “aligner” moves teeth incrementally and is worn for about two weeks, then replaced by the next in the series until
the final position is achieved.
What are the benefits of Invisalign?
Because there are no metal wires and brackets, Invisalign is comfortable. And because it’s removable, eating, brushing and flossing are not a problem. You can still
enjoy your favourite foods and smile without holding back. With Invisalign, there’s nothing to hide.
• Invisalign is clear. You can straighten your teeth without anyone knowing.
• Invisalign is removable. Unlike braces, you can eat and drink what you want during treatment. You can also brush and floss normally to maintain good oral hygiene.
• Invisalign is comfortable. There are no metal brackets or wires as with braces to cause mouth irritation, and no metal or wires means you spend less time in the
dentist’s chair getting adjustments.
• Invisalign allows you to view your own virtual treatment plan before you start, so you can see how your straight teeth will look when your treatment is complete.
What are aligners made of and look like?
Aligners are made of clear, strong medical grade plastic that is virtually invisible when worn.
Aligners are clear and look similar to tooth whitening trays, but are custom made for a better fit to move teeth.
Is this a new way to straighten teeth?
For years, orthodontists and dentists have used removable appliances for limited treatment.
Today, with the application of computer technology and custom manufacturing, Invisalign treats
a broader range of cases with greater precision.
