A unique event
The italian most multi-faceted and comprehensive
exhibition in the Digital Geography industry will be held
in Rome on April 20 and 21. Two days of total immersion,
open to all interested parties, to discuss the new
capacities of these constantly and rapidly evolving tools.
This year the event theme will be “From GIS to
Location Platform”, the evolution of the Geospatial
Tecnologies in the era of the digital transformation.
High-profile speakers will explore the theme in-depth, in
a sequence of dozens of technical workshops, training
sessions, a number of parallel sessions and presentations
of hundreds of projects, with the aim of strengthening the
skills of each and every participant.
Each year, over 1,000 people are directly involved in the
event which provides a unique meeting place for new
and experienced users of the technologies and, more
generally, for anyone interested in Geographic
Information Systems, with the aim of creating a place
where ideas and cultures can be shared. Over the years,
this event has become more and more a chance, for
anyone inexperienced in Geographic Information
Systems, to learn how to leverage Geolocation for their
business.

Why you should
The format:
In the coming years, Digital Geography will assume an
increasingly prominent role in our lives. It is considered
one of the biggest development areas in IT for the next
decade, with an estimated turnover of USD 10.6 billion
for 2015. Many commentators foresee this technology
will be used and become essential in all fields of
business. For senior management, CIOs and CMOs,
participating in the Esri Italia Conference 2016 is an
opportunity to see the ways in which geolocalisation
tools are now essential for interpreting the vast amounts
of data within all organisations and providing a clear,
documented and immediate view of the future of the
company.
IT managers and users of GIS applications will find the
event an unmissable opportunity to gain updates, share
learnings and gain greater knowledge of the
cuttingedge technologies.
This is a must-attend event, not just because of the
themes addressed and solutions offered, but also
because of the “GIS Community” it promotes, which
continues at every edition and is given a new lease of
life by the content of the event. It is an opportunity to
share your own experiences and take an active role in
the programme of events.
The format of the event changes constantly to fully
meet the requirements of participants: an overview of
success stories and new tecnologies, “the Esri Stories”,
will open in plenary session the 2016 Esri Conference.
A large exhibition area will provide a dedicated space
where partners and organisations can display solutions
in the various GIS sectors of application.
The programme will provide an accurate overview of
the scenario forecast for the next few years. We will see
how Esri solutions are already providing support in
analysing company data and phenomena and making
decisions, by offering “intelligent” and effective data
processing solutions.
There will be dozens of specialist parallel sessions to
satisfy the curiosity of and update anyone with specific
areas of interest, participants who develop or offer
geolocalisation systems and market or vertical
applications experts. That’s not all, there will also be
sessions organised by sponsors and participating
exhibitors.

A consolidated and increasingly
senior target audience
The Esri Italia Conference has always been able
to count on a loyal segment of executives and
operators that, for a number of reasons, are
active in the Geographic Information Systems
sector: in particular all the public and private
operators that develop, manage, analyse and
publish geographic data.
The target audience for 2016 has been
broadened: Geographic Information, broken
down into a range of themes, is the key to

We will also involve senior management to

which the ability of companies and organisations
to have a geographic view of the vast quantity
of data available to them will be one of the most

contribute to the sessions
Each year the sessions are open to contributions from partners,
users and experts who present case histories and projects
selected by the Scientific Committee to tie in with the themed
sessions, based on how relevant the project is and the scale of
the innovation.
Contributing to sessions is therefore a great opportunity for
companies operating in the industry to gain authority and
visibility in front of a select and informed audience. If you
have a topic or case you’d like to present, get in touch with
the Organising Committee who can discuss with you the best
opportunities for presenting during the event.
