More Details to come!
Simchat Shabbat – First Friday of each month @ 5:30 p.m.
Simcha means joy, and joy fills the room at this Shabbat experience for
Preschoolers and their families. Our Clergy join our early childhood music
specialist, Kathy Fromson, in song and story each month. Following the 25
minute service kids can
enjoy an optional light meal (mac n’ cheese,
challah, fruit, veggies and drinks). Contact Cathy Lipton to learn
clipton@fairmounttemple.org or 216.464.1330, ext. 126.
more:
Kabbalat Shabbat – Second Friday of each month @ 6:15pm
This service, followed by a hot and hearty Oneg, includes contemporary
music, a live band, a projected prayer book and teaching offered in a spirited, informal environment. Often Kabbalat Shabbat worship serves as a
setting for guest artists, teachers and activists to join our clergy in leading
and inspiring us.
Shabbat Atid (“The Future”) – Once a season @ 6:15 p.m.
Our clergy co-lead this Shabbat worship, for the whole community, with
Religious School students as readers and musicians. Come hear the voices of
many generations join together. Dates during the school year 2015-2016 are:
October 16, January 16, March 18 & May 20.
Shabbat Morning Minyan – Every Saturday @ 10:30 a.m.
An intimate gathering held in our Lelyveld Center for Jewish Learning, each
Saturday Morning after Torah Study, beginning at 9:15 a.m. The service is
lay-led from Mishkan Tefila: A Reform Siddur and it includes weekly Torah
readings and teachings from prophetic Haftarah portions.
Clergy-Led Shabbat Moring Worship
(See temple calendar for timing each week)
Joyous worship held at either 9:15 a.m. or 11:00 a.m. in either our Bonda Chapel or
Mandel Sanctuary, is led by clergy together with B’nai Mitzvah celebrants. Students
guide the liturgy as they accept adult responsibility in the Jewish community, reciting
and teaching from the Torah, and joining Anshe Chesed families and guests to
celebrate our Shabbat worship and our Kiddush reception that follows.
