With the innovative i-com2 technology, the settings of
both hearing systems are automatically synchronized on
an ongoing basis. Hearing system wearers experience real
binaural fitting with balanced sound and improved speech
comprehension in noisy environments.
LOONA uses the new generation of phase cancellation
feedback management systems.
Impulse signals such as clattering of dishes, rustling of
paper and slamming of doors, are extremely disturbing
sounds for hearing system wearers. Traditional algorithms
for reducing noise disturbance are most effective when
confronted with continuous noise signals.
i-com2 prevents differences in volume and program
settings between the two sides. This enables improved
localization of sound sources compared with independent
hearing systems, as the natural differences between time
and noise levels essential for sound location are retained.

The hearing systems also offer easy and discrete operation,
as the settings only have to be made on one side. Three

This is achieved with a technology which enables safe
differentiation between feedback and natural signals such
as music and therefore successful cancellation of feedback.
The signal given off in the ear is „marked“ automatically
by the system. The „mark“ can be recognized by the
LOONA signal processing system when the sound leaves
the ear and the signal therefore can be quickly and safely
classified as feedback. This ensures that feedback is always
eliminated completely without influencing the wanted sounds.
The Sound Impulse Management was therefore designed
especially to recognize and effectively reduce impulse
noise signals. This technology offers a constant pleasant
volume level without reducing speech comprehension. The
reduction of impulse signals results in an improved overall
acceptance of the hearing system.

comes with a traditional remote control. Easy to operate,

When DSP coupling is selected, the synchronisation operates on different parameters of the system: setting the
microphone system (omnidirectional/directional), voice
detection operation, noise reduction, Sound Impulse Management and feedback management.
The system works quickly and reliably to ensure that feedback is prevented even in critical acoustic situations. The
required amplification and sound quality remain unchanged.

It couldn‘t be easier to change the colour of the housing. Colour Exchange Kits are available containing everything
you need: top case, buttom case, battery compartment, pins, tools for removing/inserting the housing pins.
The top case comes fitted with microphone protection and
should therefore be replaced regularly (approx. every 3
months) to prevent acoustic problems in the system caused by
soiling of the microphone protection. The specially developed
Mic Cover Exchange Kit can be used for this purpose (contents:
4 top cases in the required colour, pins, tools for removing/
inserting the housing pins).

The LOONA X-Mini length
gauge (black) positioned at the
wearer‘s ear. The tip on the
tragus determines the correct
length of the receiver. The digit
on the length gauge is the same
height as the tip of the tragus
and can also be found on the
relevant receiver.
To ensure optimal fit in the auditory canal
and the required sound pressure level:
Replacing the receiver unit.
All models are equipped with cerumen
protection. Only adjust the P receiver with
individually made earmoulds.

1. Turn the receiver unit 45°
anti-clockwise.
2. Pull off the receiver unit. Clip on
the new receiver unit. The marks
must lie over each other!
The fitting software recognizes the relevant receiver automatically,
enabling the receiver required for the individual hearing loss to be
selected easily.
3. Turn the new receiver
unit 45° clockwise.
Installation and programming.
LOONA X-Mini is connected to the computer with a
special adapter, which is inserted in the battery compartment in place of the battery.
