The Santa Monica History Museum is a non-profit organization, founded in 1975. We strive to collect
and preserve the history, art and culture of the Santa Monica Bay Area and to be the caretaker of
its history. Our mission is the advancement of historical information and education, through the
collection, documentation and preservation of objects and memorabilia relating to Santa Monica.
The museum’s goal is to provide public access to its extensive collection through interpretive
exhibitions, various programs and research services for everyone.

Eddie and Evelyn Guerboian
Eddie and Evelyn Guerboian have been longtime prominent and active
community members in Santa Monica, serving numerous nonprofit
organizations. Each has received special awards for their distinguished
service. Eddie is the proud owner of Reader’s Fine Jewelers, one
of the oldest jewelers in the city.

The Santa Monica History Museum preserves the history, art, and culture of the
Santa Monica Bay Area. Its major projects include saving the city’s oldest brick
building from demolition, sponsoring the city’s first archaeological dig, and doing
the research that gave the Santa Monica Bay Woman’s Club landmark status.

the most popular and renowned cities in the world. Hundreds of thousands

The Santa Monica Bay Woman’s Club
The Santa Monica Bay Woman’s Club was organized for the purpose of the
advancement in all lines of culture, education, child welfare, social services,
and philanthropy. During World War I and World War II, it made
significant contributions to the war effort.
