TEXAS FILM
HALL OF FAME
Founded in 2001 by the Austin Film Society,
this elegant, Austin-styled, red carpet event was
held for 11 years at the Austin Film Society’s
Austin Studios. This year, we’re moving the party
downtown to The Moody Theater. Every year, the
event is held on the Thursday before the worldrenowned SXSW Festival as a way for the who’s
who in the Texas scene to kick-off their festival
week. Proceeds from the party benefit the
educational and artistic programs of AFS.
WHO DO WE HONOR?
Outstanding Texans who’ve made a significant
contribution to filmmaking and entertainment
Non-Texans who’ve made strides in improving the
Texas entertainment industry.
Classic Texas films and television programs, with a
member of the cast or creative team accepting on
behalf of his or her colleagues.
Talented Texan musicians and multmedia creatives
who fuse the filmmaking and entertainment cultures

Who buys tables at
the Texas Film Hall
of Fame?
Think eco-local-luxury.
They drive the latest model hybrid, carry
three different mobile devices, and on any
day may be skiing in Aspen, diving off Belize,
or shopping at the newest South Congress
boutique. They get their friends together for
drinks at Uchi, run food pantry drives at their
child’s private school, root for the Longhorns
from box seats, and fill their kitchens with
organic produce.
Come meet our crowd.
