Curriculum Update The Ministry of Education has been working with teachers from across the province to review and rewrite curriculum for all grade levels. The redesign of curriculum and assessment focuses on the competencies that are vital to personal and social success, life-long learning, and to the changing workplace. The Ministry recently released the new curriculum frameworks for Language Arts, Math, and Social Studies K-9. These are currently in draft so that educators have an opportunity to provide feedback to the Ministry. Curriculum documents can be accessed through the following link: www.curriculum.gov.bc.ca. No. For most home lighting, there is no extra energy draw when a light is switched on. While fluorescent lamps do use a tiny bit more upon start-up, if the light is off for more than a few minutes, you'll save energy.
