CRUISE THE GREEK ISLANDS IN STYLE,
INCLUDING FLIGHTS, WITH OR WITHOUT
ONE OF OUR EXPERIENCED SKIPPERS
FLOTILLA: The Beneteau 50 sails on our two week
Whole Ionian flotilla and two week Adventurous
Saronic Islands flotilla. The Beneteau 52.3 can sail
on any Ionian flotilla subject to availability and
delivery charges.
SKIPPERED: You can sail independently or on flotilla
with our skipper on board to show you the ropes.
A skipper will cost an extra £120 per day, plus his/
her food.
BAREBOAT: You can also skipper the 50 or 52.3
yourself as a bareboat (if qualified to do so!) The
minimum qualification requirement is ICC or RYA
Day Skipper Practical (theory certificates are not
sufficient). If going entirely bareboat, a £2,500
refundable deposit or non-refundable waiver of
£160 for 1wk / £280 for 2wks is payable.
LUXURY SHARE-A-YACHT
The Beneteau 50 and Beneteau 52.3 can sail on our
two week flotillas or independently with a skipper in
his/her own separate cabin.
The skipper cost is included in the overall price, but
you are required to pay for his/her food.

CAR INSURANCE
Please note that in Greece, insurance does not cover damage to wheels or tyres, windscreen or the underneath of the car and should you
damage any of these, you will be required to pay the full cost of repairs. Please, therefore drive with extreme care, especially on rough
tracks, and check the vehicle thoroughly when taking delivery.
The minimum age for driving a hire car in Greece is 21 for groups A, B & C and 23 for all other groups. Drivers must have held a full driving
licence for at least one year. You must present a full valid driving licence on collection of the vehicle and a credit card deposit.

wants to do so in the English Channel!

gaining qualifications in the sun!
Our courses include online access to our RYA approved

lengthy preliminary classroom studies.

ON BOARD SAIL TRAINING (AN EXTRA PAIR OF HANDS)
In addition to our normal briefings and instruction, we
offer those who are light on experience, on board sail
training for the first day or two.
This costs €90 per day and will be paid locally. Your ‘extra
pair of hands’ will be one of our shore based crew.
This has proved very popular and is a great way to gain
a bit of confidence!

AITO is the Association for independent and specialist

An AITO member is required to arrange financial protection
for all holidays and other arrangements (including
accommodation only) booked by customers with the

bring the matter to a speedy and acceptable conclusion.

BOOKING CONDITIONS
All bookings are subject to our full booking conditions which appear on our website
www.sailingholidays.com/booking-conditions. A copy of these can also be e-mailed or posted to you on request.
By asking us to make your booking, you confirm you have had access to and agree
to the full booking conditions which you should read.
The booking conditions provide for the payment of
cancellation charges if you cancel or fail to make
payment when due. They also include limitations and
exclusions of our liability to you. For international travel
by air, sea or rail, our liabilities are limited and excluded
as if we were a carrier within the applicable international
convention or EU regulation (for example, the Montreal
Convention, the EC Regulation on Air Carrier Liability and
the Athens Convention). A surcharge may be payable in
limited circumstances where certain costs increase after
booking.
Your contract will be with Sailing Holidays Ltd, 105 Mount
Pleasant Road, London, NW10 3EH. For all bookings a
binding contract between you and the Company only
comes into existence when the Company despatches its
written confirmation of the booking to you.
We hold an Air Travel Organiser’s Licence issued by the Civil
Aviation Authority (ATOL number 2580). When you buy an
ATOL protected flight or flight inclusive holiday* from us, you
will receive an ATOL Certificate. This lists what is financially
protected, where you can get information on what this
means for you and who to contact if things go wrong.
We, or the suppliers identified on your ATOL Certificate, will
provide you with the services listed on the ATOL Certificate
(or a suitable alternative). In some cases, where neither we
nor the supplier are able to do so for reasons of insolvency,
an alternative ATOL holder may provide you with services
you have bought or a suitable alternative (at no extra cost
to you). You agree to accept that in those circumstances
the alternative ATOL holder will perform those obligations
and you agree to pay any money outstanding to be paid
by you under your contract to that alternative ATOL holder.
However, you also agree that in some cases it will not be
possible to appoint an alternative ATOL holder, in which
case you will be entitled to make a claim under the ATOL
scheme (or your credit card issuer where applicable). If
we, or the suppliers identified on your ATOL certificate,
are unable to provide the services listed (or a suitable
alternative, through an alternative ATOL holder or
otherwise) for reasons of insolvency, the Trustees of the Air
Travel Trust may make a payment to (or confer a benefit
on) you under the ATOL scheme.
You agree that in return for such a payment or benefit, you
assign absolutely to those Trustees any claims which you
have or may have arising out of or relating to the nonprovision of the services, including any claim against us, the
travel agent or your credit card issuer where applicable.
You also agree that any such claims may be re-assigned
to another body, if that other body has paid sums you
have claimed under the ATOL scheme. *The flights and
flight- inclusive holidays we arrange are ATOL protected
providing they are made available in the UK. For further
information visit the ATOL website at www.atol.org.uk.

Sailing Holidays Ltd has provided a bond to meet the
requirements of the Package Travel, Package Holidays
and Package Tours Regulations 1992. In the event of Sailing
Holidays Ltd’s insolvency, protection is provided for nonflight packages commencing in and returning to the UK
and other non-flight packages excluding pre-arranged
travel to and from your destination.
Please note that packages booked outside the UK are only
protected when purchased directly with Sailing Holidays
Ltd. In the above circumstances, if you have not yet
travelled you may claim a refund, or if you have already
travelled, you may claim repatriation to the starting point
of your non-flight package.
British citizens require a British passport in order to
travel to the destinations we feature. This usually takes
approximately 2 to 6 weeks to obtain unless you are over
16 and haven’t held a passport previously in which case
you need to allow at least 6 weeks. Current visa and
compulsory health requirements (if any) for British citizens
with a British passport are available upon request.
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office publishes regularly
updated travel information on its website www.fco.gov.uk/
knowbeforeyougo which you are recommended to consult
before booking and in good time before departure.
In the event of any flight delay or cancellation at your UK
or overseas point of departure, the airline is responsible
for providing such assistance as is legally required by
the Denied Boarding Regulations. The ferry, tunnel or rail
operator is similarly responsible in relation to any delayed
or cancelled sea crossing or international rail departure.
Except where otherwise stated in our brochure or on our
website, we regret we cannot provide any assistance in
such circumstances other than information and advice to
the extent we are in a position to do so.
The information contained in our brochure is believed
correct to the best of our knowledge at the time of printing
or publication. However, errors may occasionally occur
and information may subsequently change. You must
therefore ensure you check all details of your chosen tour
(including the price) with us at the time of booking.
For the purposes of the Data Protection Act 1998, we are
a data controller. A copy of our privacy policy which sets
out how we collect and use the personal information
(“personal data”) you provide us with is available on our
website www.sailingholidays.com/booking-conditions.
In order to process your booking, send you a brochure or
respond to an enquiry, we need to collect personal data
from you. We will only process personal data as set out in
our privacy policy (as amended or added to) or otherwise
notified to or agreed by you or as we are otherwise
permitted to do in accordance with the Data Protection
Act 1998.
