We timed it so we could meet Membership Chairman Larry Lutseo and his wife Genie. Bartender Kristi served us our refreshments. Larry and I made our rounds talking to all members at the bar and selling pins for my charity which made $24.00. While we were there State Outside Guard Ray Roberts joined us and guided us to Pittsburgh Aerie #76. At the Aerie Julie served us our drinks and Trustee Denny provided a light lunch. One of the members, Josh does great pictures on etch-asketch and frames them to hang on the wall. After making our rounds and Larry selling $28.00 worth of pins Vernon Davis joined us and guided us to Carrick Aerie #1520. At Carrick our drinks were served by Mickey. Not many members there but we did meet President Mack, Secretary Jim and Trustee Dave and his wife. There were only 3 members there but sold $9.00 in pins. Ray had to leave so Vernon Davis escorted us to Verona Aerie#1634. President Joe greeted us and bought our dinner. Vernon Davis is also a PWP of Verona. Trustee Chuck came and introduced us to some of the members that were playing bingo. Vernon’s wife Debbie and Inside Guard Bobby came by to say hi. The cook Marco also came by the table and we thanked him for a delicious meal. After we made our rounds we collected $87.00 in pin sales. President Joe and Vernon presented me with a check for $250.00 for my charity. Thank you Verona and members for your generosity and hospitality. We left Verona and headed to Tarentum to check into our motel. Once we got our rooms we went to New Kensington Aerie#533. The Aerie was almost filled to capacity. They had a good band that kept the members entertained while Larry and I sold $70.00 in pins. They also had snacks to go with our drinks. Thank you for your hospitality. Then it was bedtime. Saturday morning John and Ruth Jordan bought us breakfast to start our day--thank you. We met District Director Allen Doverspike at Freeport Aerie#1732. He introduced us to Terri the bartender, Trustee Jim and President Patrick who introduced us to members at the bar and helped us sell $18.00 worth of pins. After some discussion we headed to Ford City Aerie#606. Inside our drinks were served by Rachael. Secretary and PWP Randy introduced us to Trustee and District #4 Secretary Randy Trustee Scott and PWP Fred. They also had a light lunch for us. While we made our way around the bar Larry sold $30.00 in pins. As we were saying our farewells Fred said he would see us at Kittanning Aerie#896 which was our next stop. Sure enough he was there with PWP Hawk. Bartender Randy served drinks to 13 people around the bar. Again Larry got $41.00 for my charity--thank you Kittanning. Next stop was Apollo Aerie #4205. Bartender Bobbie Jo was serving 12 members and us our drinks while President Coyote, Treasurer Chip and Inside Guard Chris made sure we had something to eat. Again $34.0 in pin sales. Thank you Apollo for lunch and hospitality. Next stop Indiana Aerie #1468. Bartender Kyler was busy with drinks but not doing much good with our gambling. Again $35.00 for my charity. Thank you. Next stop was New Bethlehem Aerie #1860. There were only 8 members there but they were very friendly and bought $21.00 worth of pins. Allen gave me a check for $100.00 on behalf of the Aerie for my charity. Thank you members of New Bethlehem. Tarentum Aerie #699 was the last stop for the night. What a surprise to see so many at A Night at the Races. We were greeted by John and Ruth Jordan who were very busy selling horses for the race. President Daniel Barr came by to chat and buy our dinner. Thank you very much. Larry and I bought horses but my horse must have fallen asleep at the gate, but I did win on a couple of other horses. If you are out that way be sure to visit their Aerie, they always have something happening and are very friendly. What a salesman Larry is. He made his tour of the bar and sold $131.00 worth of pins. Thank you members of Tarentum. Our last visit of the year was to Waynesburg Aerie #598 on May 24, 2015. The Aerie and Auxiliary hosted a cook-out and the food was great. We were also treated to musical entertainment by a local DJ. The Aerie and Auxiliary also donated $125.00 to my Charity. Thank you Waynesburg very much for your generosity and hospitality!
