March 2014 Volume 70 - Issue 3 Pole Maintenance Official Publication of Kandiyohi Power Cooperative www.kpcoop.com Despite the frigid temps, a frost line that is deeper than we’ve seen in many years, blustery winds and snow filled ditches, our crews continue to brave the harsh elements in order to do line maintenance. The pictures are of the crews changing out a pole that was rejected by our pole inspection contractor. It is likely this pole is 35-50 years old and no longer meets the criteria of what is deemed a safe pole. Fortunately the crews were able to do this hot, meaning no one was inconvenienced.
