Waste Water Treatment Plant
Neighborhood Concerns >>>
There are many ways we can work
together to make our neighborhood a more pleasant place to
live. Please start by asking
yourself, “Is this something I
would want my neighbor to do to
me?” Being considerate of your
neighbor is a good way to
maintain peaceful relationships
with people you may have to live
with for a very long time.
Pets
Please leash and
update
Parking
Complaints have been
received regarding overnight,
on-street parking. Please
park all of your vehicles in
your garage or driveway.
Speeding
There has been a problem
with speeding cars in the
subdivision. Please keep
yourself and others safe by
slowing down!
clean up after your
dog in public spaces
A waste water treatment plant
is being built on Hitt Rd. to
improve service to Oldham County
and to eliminate the smaller plants
that are in poor condition. Ed
Basquill of the Oldham County
Environmental Authority tells us that
this state of the art facility should
have no significant impact on the
Rock Springs community as it is over
1,000 feet from the property.
Developer, Bob Thieneman, states
that he plans to move forward with
the installation of a 7—8 ft tall fence
along the property line.

Why have I been seeing increased
construction traffic on Hite Lane
According to John Liter of Liter Quarry,
residents will see increased traffic for the next two
years due to the East End bridge project. Drivers
will be entering Haunz Lane with full trucks and
exiting Hitt Road with empty trucks to travel to and
from the project site.
New Home Sales
Sales of newly built, singlefamily homes rose 7.8 percent
in February to a seasonally
adjusted annual rate of
539,000 units from an upwardly revised January reading,
according to newly released
data by the U.S. Department of
Housing and Urban Development and the U.S. Census Bureau. This is the highest sales
pace since February 2008.
“Today’s numbers are a great
start to the spring buying
season,” said Tom Woods,
chairman of the National
Association of Home Builders
(NAHB) and a home builder
from Blue Springs, Mo.
“Hopefully, this is an indicator
of how the rest of the year will
fare.”
The inventory of new homes
for sale was at 210,000 in February, which is a 4.7-month
supply at the current sales
pace.
According to developer Bob
Thieneman, new home sales
locally have mirrored national
trends and he remains
optimistic for the rest of 2015
sales.
