This 5 piece band with their red hot rhythms and honkin‟ sax will set your feet tapping, pulse racing, and floor jumpin‟. With guitar, double bass, sax, piano, lap steel guitar, drums and four vocalists, The Atlantics create a great atmosphere where-ever they play. THE BAND MEMBERS Shorty Long (stand up bass/vocals) has been playing bass for 20 years and has had a lifelong love of rock n roll since first hearing Bill Haley as a young boy. Mr Miggs (guitar/vocals) led a rock n roll lifestyle for 15 years as guitarist with various rock bands. Loves playing rock n roll and R&B. Ruby Darnell (sax/lap steel/ harmonica/vocals) loves all those old 50s honkers such as Joe Houston, King Curtis, Big Jay McNeely and loves the 40s/early 50s big bands and old R&B. Drummer Johnny Ace at 18 years old, he‟s one of the youngest drummers on the scene and has plenty of energy, cracking out rimshots and shuffle beats like there‟s no tomorrow. FRENCH RESISTANCE Boogie Bill (piano/vocals) completes the line up with his pounding rhythm and piano hooks, giving The Atlantics that big sound and boogie woogie vibe. If you have a passion for dancing , The Atlantics will deliver an amazing set of jumpin‟ R&B and rock‟n‟roll at The Croyde Weekender. T H E C R O Y D E W E E K E N D E R 3 - 5 J U N E Tonight „s theme is a wartime café in Paris where members of the French Resistance meet members of the TV series Allo Allo to celebrate the liberation of Paris!
