8th Grade Musical Theatre Performance
“Once On This Island Jr.”
May 6, 2016
7:00 pm at Southview Center
for the Performing Arts
Through almost non-stop song and dance, this full-hearted musical tells the
story of Ti Moune, a peasant girl who rescues and falls in love with Daniel,
a wealthy boy from the other side of her island. When Daniel is returned to
his people, the fantastical gods who rule the island guide Ti Moune on a
quest that will test the strength of her love against the powerful forces of
prejudice, hatred, and even death.
Student Pick-Up/Drop-off
Please follow the student drop off/ pick up procedures. This change in
traffic flow is designed for student safety and we appreciate your cooperation with the process. Picking up your child at the west end of the building
has eliminated students darting between buses to get into the parent’s car.
At the west end, it is important to pull up as far as possible so all parents
can drop their students off in a safe and timely fashion. Not only does this
increase safety with the parent and bus traffic, but with the high school student traffic as well. Northview High School uses the practice fields and stadium for their track teams which increases traffic at the end of the school
day.
It is also important to be aware of the times for the "busses only traffic" in
the main entrance: 7:45 - 8:15 am and 2:45 - 3:15 pm. We appreciate your
concern and support.

Strength of Character Awards
2016-17 School Year
All students (6th - 8th) will be
asked to come to Timberstone
on August 9th (one day only)
from 10:00 am-6:00 pm. to
complete some of the tasks that
are necessary at the beginning of
the new school year.

fall pictures of the students.
Locker assignments/
combinations will be distributed.
Just giving the students an opportunity to practice their locker
combinations will help alleviate
some of the anxiety of beginning
a new school year. Also, you
will be able to fill out your
child’s emergency card and sign.
If you cannot attend this before
school event, those tasks can be
accomplished after the start of
school. Pictures can be taken on
picture make-up day.
We strongly urge you, however,
to attend this event if not on vacation. You will receive additional information about these
days as well as other information
about Timberstone in the August
Timberstone Newsletter.
We would like to announce the 2016 Strength of Character Award
