The explo oration playy of the Ko ok Sathon is the Loweer-Middle Permiaan carbonate reservoiir of the Ph ha Nok Kha ao Formation sourced d by Uppe er Carbon niferous Sri That Form mation in th he deeper part (fig. 2). 2 Moreoveer, the Tria assic Kuchinarai Group p in the low w area can be a sourcce rock for Pha Nok Khao Form mation in the h high area. The T seismic profile (ffig. 2) show ws apparen ntly reef feaature of Ph ha Nok Khao FFormation which w is exxpected to be a porous reservoir. Due to m minor gas shown in Phu Kao-1 well, the Triassic red bed d is also a potential p play p for thee Phu Kao and a Non Saang prospe ects (fig. 3). Triassic re L3/5 57 L3/57 is located in Sakon Nakhon, Ud donthani an nd Kalasin provinces. It covers the t 2 area off 1,966.67 km k . L3/57 cconsists of at least 3 prospects which are Sri That, Chaiwan (fig g. 4) and Phu Kratae (fig. 5). For those pro ospects, th e exploration play is the Lowerr-Middle Pe ermian nate reservo oir of the Pha P Nok Kh hao Forma ation sourced by Upp per Carboniferous carbon Sri That Formatio on. Moreovver, the Triaassic Kuchiinarai Grou up in the lo ow area can be a source rock for Pha Nok Kh hao Formattion in the high area. For the e Sri That prospect p (fig. 4) and P Phu Kratae (fig. 5), Ph ha Nok Khaao Formation is thruste ed and defo ormed as fault f propaagation folds and perrformed 3--way closurre. The seismicc profile (fig. 4) shows thin-skin nned thrustting with flat-ramp geeometry underlaain by exte ensional ho orst and grraben. Morreover, the horst blocck is also a potential play. Du ue to the Sri-That-2 S w well result, some sub commerciial gas has been shown from the horst h block k in Pha No ok Khao Fo ormation. For the e Chaiwan prospect (ffig. 4), the low contin nuity with high h amplittude reflecctors above purple horrizon are in nterpreted as the Upp per Triassic c clastics w which depo osited in Alluvvial-Lacustrine. There efore, a goo od source rock, reserrvoir and seeal are exp pected to pressent. It covers c 2 ea of 3,453.86 km . the are Wong and Kham L4/57 cconsists of at least 3 prospects which are Phu Phra, That Phu W Muang g. The explo oration pla ay of thosee prospectss is the Upp per Triassicc Kuchinara ai Group deposited in alluvial and lacusttrine during Upper Trriassic exteension. Due e to its r m e main risk k in this areea. Howeve er, depositional enviironment, reservoirs may be the good ssource rockks and sealls are expeected. Furth hermore, th he result frrom the Ph hu Phra-1 well show ws minor ga as in the tig ght Formattion. There efore, it is a good opporttunity for unconventi u onal field eexploration n and deve elopment. Figure 5 Phu Phra prospect shows chaotic seismic featu ure which is interpreted aas a slump unit. Kuchinara L5/5 57 L5/57 is located in Nakhon Phanom aand Sakon Nakhon prrovinces. Itt covers the e area 2 42.70 km . of 2,84 L5/57 cconsists of at least 4 prospects which are Kusuman (fig. 7), Phu u Pek, Sako on and Na Kae e. The explo oration pla ay of thosee prospectss is the Low wer-Middlee Permian carbon nate reservo oir of the Pha P Nok Kh hao Forma ation (below w purple h horizon) sourced by Upp per Carbon niferous Sri That Form mation (ora ange horizo on) in the d deeper parrt. From the seissmic profile (fig. 7), the set of in nversion fa aults is app parent. It deeformed th he syn extensiional packa age as a ha arpoon stru ucture. The e purple ho orizon whicch has disconttinuity and d high amp plitude refleectors is in nterpreted as an unco onformity caused c by uplifting. Also, this horizon is inter preted as the t top of Pha Nok K Khao Forma ation which e exposed an nd perform med Karst-llike topogrraphy. Afte er uplifting , the depositional environ nment had d changed to lacustrin ne and allu uvial setting gs which leed clastic units u deposited as inte erpreted in the packa ge betwee en purple and a green h horizon (alternaative play).. The syn n-extension package p is interpreted as a Permian carbonate e (below purrple horizon) overlain by the clastic un nit (above puurple horizon n) which is identified by high amplitude a refflectors. L9/5 57 L9/57 is located in Chaiyaph hum, Nong g Bua Lamphu and Khon Kaen PProvinces. It 2 covers the area of o 1,999.92 km . L9/57 cconsists of at least 2 prospects which are Phu Wiang g and Phu Khieo (fig.. 8). The exploraation play of o those prrospects iss the Lowerr-Middle Permian carrbonate reservoir (blue h horizon in fig. f 8) of th he Pha Nokk Khao Form mation sou urced by T riassic Kuchinarai Group (yellow ho orizon) and Upper Carboniferou us Sri That Formation n in the dee eper part. Frrom the se eismic profiile (fig. 8), it shows th he Pop-up shape whiich is called d Dao Ruang structure. This shape e was causeed by a nu umber of ep pisodes off strike slip n associated with com mpression w which led uplifting. In n particulaar, the Perm mian motion carbon nate had be een uplifted and parttially erode ed. This carrbonate in Dao Ruang structu ure is dominated by dark d grey w wackstoness and mode erately-spaarsely fossilife erous. The presence of o sand graain indicates a shoreline enviro onment. Moreovver, this structure has a potentiial petroleu um system m evidenced d by gas sh hown (0.35 M MMCF) in Permian P carrbonate fro om Dao Ru uang-1 well. The upliffting had change ed the depositional environmen e nt to lacusttrine and alluvial a in TTriassic. The erefore, the clastic unit ha ad deposited and perrformed ass the seal over o Permiaan carbona ate reservo oir. A numb ber of upliffting episo odes caused d the series of Indosiinian unconfformities (g green and purple horrizons) whiich can be potential sstratigraph hic traps. L10/57 7 consists of o at least 4 prospectss which are e Khao Sua an Kwang, Kranuan, Nam N Phong and Dong g Mun. The exploratio on play of those t prospects is th e Lower-M Middle ha Nok Kha ao Formation sourced d by Uppe er Permiaan carbonate reservoiir of the Ph Carbon niferous Sri That Form mation. In the K Khao Suan Kwang an nd Kranuan n prospectss, Pha Nok Khao Form mation wass affected by thin-sskinned thrust. This inve ersion prod duced asym mmetrical folding f and d uplifting of Pha No ok Khao Formattion. The crest of the fold was tthen partly eroded du ue to upliftt and expo ose. Moreovver, gravita ational drivven led slu mp and cla astic units deposited as seen in n fig. 9. In the D Dong Mun n prospect (fig. 10), th he seismic profile sho ows appareently exten nsional fault bllock. Within tilted fau ult block, th he low amplitude unit is interprreted as Ph ha Nok Khao FFormation. The top off Pha Nok Khao Form mation (blue horizon) presented d in rough and discon ntinuity refflectors wh hich may re epresent errosional su rface. Morreover, this Pha Nok Kha ao Formatio on truncateed to the base b Khora at Group w which performed stratigrraphic trap p. The sourcce rock wh hich is Sri That T Formation (orang ge horizon n) is overlain by Pha Nok N Khao Formation F and also tiilted by exttension. L11/57 7 consists of o at least 4 prospectss which are e Kuchinarai, Phon Th hong, Bua Kao and No ong Pok. The exploration play o of Kuchinarrai prospec cts is the U Upper Triasssic Kuchinarai Group p deposited d in alluviaal and lacusstrine durin ng Upper TTriassic exttension. This Ku uchinarai Group G can be b a poten ntial source e for both of o Kuchina rai play an nd Pha Nok Kh hao play. From the seismic profile of the Bua Kh hao prospe ect (fig. 11)), it illustra tes reef-lik ke feature e developed on up th hrown faultt below an unconform mity (blue h horizon). The exp ploration play of Kham mpalai and d Mukdaha an prospeccts (fig. 12) is the Upper Triassic Ku uchinarai Group G depo osited in alluvial and lacustrine during Upper Triassicc extension n. The Muk kdahan-1 w well result shows s minor gas in TTriassic volccanic sandsto one of Kucchinarai Group. This i s a good in ndication of o potentiaal petroleum m system m. In the ho orst block (below purp ple horizon n) where th he well did d not encou unter, Pha No ok Khao Fo ormation may m presen t observed d from chao otic and reeef-like refllectors. Also, it is expecte ed to be a porous p zon ne. Therefo ore, Pha No ok Khao Fo ormation iss likely an alternative pla ay. Moreovver, the Ch honnabot-1 1 well resu ult from the e adjacent area show ws trace of gas g at the basse Khorat Group. G The erefore, thee chance of success in this bloc k is potenttially high. L14/57 7 consists of o at least 2 prospectss which are e Yangtalatt and Mah asarakham m. The e L15/57 exploraation play of o those prrospects iss the Upper Triassic Kuchinarai K G Group dep posited in alluvvial and laccustrine during Uppe r Triassic extension e and the Low wer-Middle e Permiaan carbonate reservoiir of the Ph ha Nok Kha ao Formation sourced d by Uppe er Carbon niferous Sri That Form mation. For the e Nonsung prospect (fig. 15), th he Non Sun ng-1 well presents p off shale with h 1.2% of TOC C content and a also graded from m dark at th he base of the t section n to light grey g shale aat the top of o section. This shale is interbed dded with medium-g grained sandsto ones. The upper u and lower of t he section contain bu urrows, craacks and rip-up clasts. T The age off this intervval is likely Middle-La ate Triassic. Thereforee, the paleo o environ nment is in nterpreted as a fluctu uating of sh hallow marrine to con ntinental environ nment during that tim me. In deep per part, th he well also o penetrateed to the upper u part off carbonate es, two coa al seams (b below yellow horizon)) and Si Th hat Formatiion which iis overall in nterpreted as shallow w marine to o deltaic en nvironmen nt. It 2 covers the area of o 3,531.85 km . L17/57 7 consists of o at least 2 prospectss which are e Bua Yai and a Chaturrat. The exploraation play of o those prrospects iss the Lowerr-Middle Permian carrbonate reservoir of the Pha Nok Khao K Forma ation sourcced by Upp per Carbon niferous Srii That Form mation. In Bua Yai prospe ect (fig. 16)), the blue horizon (b bright and low l contin uity reflecttors) is interpreted as the e top Pha Nok N Khao Formation n which wass elevated by extensiional faults. It cove ers the area a of 3,366.3 31 km . L18/57 7 consists of o at least 2 prospectss which are e Ta Lat Sai and Si Daa. The exploration play off those pro ospects is th he Lower-M Middle Perrmian carbonate reseervoir of the Pha Nok Kh hao Formation source ed by Upp er Carboniiferous Sri That Form mation. In Ta Lat Sai pro ospect (fig. 17), seismic profile sshows the extensiona e al structuree below gre een horizon n (Indosinian II uncon nformity?).. Discontinuity reflecttor in syn-eextensiona al packag ge (between yellow horizon and d purple ho orizon) is in nterpreted as the Pha a Nok Khao FFormation. In the horsst block, diiscontinuitty and non-stratified feature is likely l mound d or carbon nate platform which m may be afffected by sea level ch hange. Also o, this feature e is assume ed to conta ain moderaate-high po orosity and d is likely a good rese ervoir. Figure 1 16 Ta Lat Sai prospect sh hows promin nent extensio onal structure e. In the horsst block, non-stratified with bright reflectors r is iinterpreted as a a carbonatte platform w which is likely ya potential reservoir. L19//57 L19/57 7 is located in Roi Et, Mahasarakkham, Si Sa a Ket and Yasothon Y p provinces. It I 2 covers the area of o 3,643.11 km . L19/57 7 consists of o at least 4 prospectss which are e At Samatt, Chaturap phak Phima an, Kaset P Pisai and Phatum Rat. The explo oration play of those prospectss is the Upp per Triassicc Kuchinara ai Group deposited in n alluvial and lacustriine during Upper Tria assic extensiion. From the t seismicc profile off the At Sam mat prospe ect (fig. 18)), inversion n producced an asym mmetrical folding. Th he package e of syn-exxtension beetween blu ue and yellow horizon was deforme ed and is i nterpreted d as a Triassic clastic u unit. This unit u was eroded due e to uplifting resultin ng in an un nconformity y (blue horrizon). Thus, this partly e unconfformity can n be a strattigraphic trrap for Tria assic clastic c reservoir.. L20//57 L20/57 7 is located in Ubon Ratchathan R ni provincess. It covers the area o of 2,117.67 7 km2. 7 consists of o at least 1 prospect which is Khemmarat K t. The explo oration pla ay of L20/57 those p prospects are a the Upper Triassicc Kuchinarrai Group deposited d iin alluvial and a lacustriine during Upper Tria assic exten nsion and the t Lower-Middle Perrmian carb bonate reservo oir of the Pha P Nok Kh hao Formattion source ed by Uppe er Carboni ferous Sri That Formattion. From the seismic profile o of the Khem mmarat pro ospect (fig.. 19), it illusstrates the defformation e. g. asym mmetrical fo olds produced by inversion. Thee package ns was uplifted and partly betwee en purple and a dark blue horizon p erod ded producced an unconfformity (green horizo on which iss interprete ed as Indossinian1). Th his package e is interpreted as a Triassic T classtic unit wh hich perforrms a pote ential play. Also, the indosin nian 1 unco onformity is i likely a p potential trrap. Moreovver, the pa ackage betw ween darkk and light blue horizo ons is interrpreted as a Pha Nok Kh hao Formation which is anotherr potential. The seism mic profile ((fig. 19) shows the darrk blue which is interpreted as a top of Ph ha Nok Kha ao Formatiion is partly eroded d showing truncation t to the Ind dosinian 1 unconform u mity. This pllay is trapp ped by Indosin nian 1 unco onformity and a also faault blocks. Figure 1 18 Khemmarat prospect was affected d by compresssion resultin ng in uplifting g and inversion folding. Uplifting U caussed the locall erosion of the t top Pha Nok N Khao Fo ormation (Dark and light blue e horizons) and perform a potential trrap. Also, uplifting led Triiassic clastic unit which is a potential play (packagee between pu urple and darrk blue horizzon) deposit and a can be trappe ed by fault blocks. L21//57 L21/57 7 is located in Nakhon n Ratchasim ma provincces. It cove ers the areaa of 2,935.8 89 km2. L21/57 7 consists of o at least 2 prospectss which are e Si Kew an nd Don Ph rai. The exploraation play of o those prrospects iss the Lowerr-Middle Permian carrbonate reservoir of the Pha Nok Khao K Forma ation sourcced by Upp per Carbon niferous Srii That Form mation. In both h prospectss, seismic profile p (fig.. 20) showss planar tiltted extens ional fault block which p produced horst and graben g geo ometries. For F the Pha a Nok Khao o play, it was w shorten ning by imbricated th hrusts whicch can be the t trap for this play. The top of Pha Nok Kh hao Formation is marrked by lig ht blue horizon and the t bottom m of this Formattion is marrked by darrk blue horrizon. The detachmen nt layer of the imbriccated thrustss may sit within Sri Th hat Format ion (the pa ackage bettween darkk blue and red horizon n). L22//57 L22/57 7 is located in Si Sa Ke et and Ubo on Ratchathani provinces. It covvers the area of 2 3,608.9 92 km . L22 2/57 is very y new field d for the exxploration. The subsu urface data in this block iss still insuffficient and d also no exxploration wells to clarify petro oleum plays.
