The Board of Directors at Hannah's House has a major goal for this 20th Anniversary year - to open our second home in Mishawaka. This second home has
already been donated
and will house approximately 20 more women and 20 more babies
each year. Additional
financial support of
$200,000 will be needed on an annual basis
to fund this project.

reports Linda Hammond, board president. "Our board is taking action because
it's not acceptable to tell a pregnant woman in crisis "there's no room at the
inn". Each woman and each baby is important. The mission of supporting life in
Michiana will be much stronger once we are able to open the second home."
At the request of our donor of this home, it is to be named, the Killilea House
in honor of the Hannah’s House founders Bill and his late wife
Diane, who have been instrumental in our doors remaining open
these last 20 years. Bill is currently acting as our Executive Director and very involved in seeing our mission continue for the
next 20 years.
The Dedication of the Killilea House will take place on May
10, 2013. Come celebrate with us!
Bishop Kevin Rhoades will dedicate this new home on May 10th
at 2pm and all are invited to attend. Address: 505 West 4th

How you can help… We will only be able to begin serving additional residents in this home once the funding is secured and

FINALE
Hannah’s House was the benefactor of an outstanding
amount of philanthropy during December of 2012.
Holiday Happenings started the month on December 1st
with 300 people gathering at Windsor Park Conference
Center. When the evening concluded the results of
$138,000.00 profit had set an all-time record net profit
for the 24 years of the event. We are so thankful to all
the underwriters, bidders, patrons, and volunteers for a

On December 17th, our Support Group gathered at First
United Methodist Church in Mishawaka for their annual
Christmas Party. Wonderful gifts were distributed to all
the families courtesy of the generous employees of
Board President, Linda Hammond, presenting a crystal cross to
OSMC of Elkhart. They out did themselves. The over 80
our 24th annual Holiday Happenings honorary chairs, Karen and
family members attending were treated to a delicious
Ron DeLucenay. (Karen is also the Director of Programming at
dinner provided by Judi Hurst and the ladies from St.
Hannah’s House.)
What’s new?

With the hiring of the new Family Resource
Coordinator we now will have the ability to serve
8 mothers/families by the end of the year.

We now have four current mentoring groups with
two potential groups waiting to be officially
formed and trained.

First mom to officially transition from living at
Hannah’s House to the Bridge of Hope program
happened in the fall 2012.
Bavo’s Parish. Our staff and volunteers were fantastic in
providing a memorable evening.
Also in December the Bridge of Hope families had gifts bestowed upon
them from the very generous Granger Rotary Club. They provided
gifts for children and moms. All families were so grateful for these
presents. In addition, each family received a Christmas tree through
the generosity of the Mishawaka DeAmici Club. These trees will be
used year after year by the families. Again, thank you to our most

generous community partners.
The rest of the month the mail box was kept full with generous
donations to our annual Christmas appeal. This also was a record
setting year topped off with a surprise on New Year’s Eve when a
friend stopped at the house and handed House Mom Judy a check that
caused her jaw to drop.
In conclusion, all I can say to all of you who hold this mission in your
heart is: Thank you and God bless you in 2013.
