(Enogastronomic Festival Taste Lanzarote)
This part of the market, with more than 40 exhibitors,
will offer visitors their best products with a wide offer
of food tasting at 1 €. The main wineries, restaurants,
craftmen and producers will be exhibiting at these
booths.
The Enogastronomic Festival Taste Lanzarote is
divided in three areas on which during several
days many activities will be held.
GASTROCENTER: (1/Dic - 2/Dic)
This is the most didactic part of the festival and it is
composed of three classrooms. The Taste Classroom,
where various chefs will fully explain recipes made
with local products. The Chef Chinijo Classroom,
where young visitors will learn how to become a great
chef. The Saborea Classroom, a multipurpose place
on which prizes will be given and an original “mojo”
contest will be held.

In the course of these days, the Town of Teguise will
hold different performances, from special menus
made by local restaurants and popular recipe contest,

More than 40 exhibitors will offer the visitors their best products
and a variety of tastings for only 1€. At these stands we will meet
the main wine vaults of the island, restaurants, craftsmen and
producers.
TASTE UNITY (from the 1st to the 2nd of Dec.)
In Lanzarote we are united and we are going to demonstrate
it with this activity of nutritive collection. We invite everybody
to donate not perishable food in the designated tent, and in
collaboration with CÁRITAS it will be distributed later to the
persons in need, of the island.
In charge of the main confectioner Ludovic Lamontagne
(Confectionery Lamontagne, Reef) and the oenologist Alberto
González (Wine vaults Stratvs, DO Lanzarote)
18:00 h Potatoes and sweet potatoes, princesses of the field, queens
of the plate. Chef Germán Blanco (rest. Bow, Lime Port, Yaiza),
of the group Lanzarote Cocina
19:15 h Black pig, the typical ,traditional meat of the Canary kitchen
Joint performance of the chefs Lolo (rest. The Cove,Hotel
Hesperia, Lime Port, Yaiza), of the group Lanzarote Kitchen
and Emilio Cabrera (rest. The Alquitara, Las Palmas of Grand
Canary).

11:00 h The best cheeses in the kitchen . Accompanied by unique Lan-

10:00 h Delivery of awards of the contest “From the ground to the table” We will meet the winners of this graphic creation contest, in which several schools of the island have participated.
11:00 h Presentation “Gastronomy of Lanzarote centuries of tradition”: A walk along the gastronomic history of the island with
videos and photos
Sunday 2/12
10:00 h Knowledge and flavor of the mojo lanzaroteño.
Contest of popular kitchen opened for the participation of all and
all those ones that want to show their culinary skills concerning
one of the most popular and universal plates of the Canary kitchen: the mojo. (traditional sauce)
The participants will act before a select jury of expert gourmets
and professionals of the kitchen that will reward the knowledge
of the candidates, as well as the flavour of the presented plates.
14:00 h Awards delivery.
The awards will be handed over to the winners of the mornings “Mojo Contest”-Event and later there will be delivered
the special award “A life dedicated to the field”.
