Go. Metascan ™ Engineered for Motion Metascan™ analyzes a foot in motion to create a truer orthotic fit. Its complete diagnostic system includes dynamic, postural and static scans to determine abnormal foot function, balance, and sway, respectively. Dynamic Scan: Walking or Running 150 frames per second means more accurate diagnosis and treatment Quick analysis helps patients understand the need for orthotics Postural Scan: Balance of the Body Shows patient’s ability to maintain and control the body’s center of mass Static Scan: Standing Captures bilateral plantar pressure distribution Use in balance testing, vestibular training, and therapeutic protocols Patient Education Generates a custom report with more detailed analysis of your patient’s gait so they can fully understand the need for orthotics 1.800.779.3668 5 Casting Casting with Impression Foam Static method using the sub-talar neutral position. They offer excellent motion control without added bulk or discomfort. Footmaxx orthotics are handcrafted for people who require better foot function in everyday activities from work to play. They are firm enough to provide control, yet flexible enough to offer all-day comfort. Footmaxx custom-made orthotics are specifically designed for your feet. 8 Footmaxx. Go. Accommodations Arch Fill The soft or firm materials used provide a solid support under the arch area. Firm: recommended for heavier patients or patients with severe over-pronation or posterior tibial tendonitis. Forefoot Extension Cushions the metatarsal and forefoot areas of the foot. Can be used for patients with metatarsalgia or forefoot lesions. Soft: recommended for patients with significant over-pronation. Arch Strip The soft or firm materials used provide medial or lateral support in the arch area. Firm: recommended for heavier patients, patients with severe over-pronation, or flexible, pronated feet. Gait Plate Causes the forefoot shoe break to occur at an angle that causes proper shoe twist. Used for very young children (three to eight years old, under 100 lbs) needing correction to cause in-toeing or out-toeing. Soft: recommended for patients with moderate over-pronation. Fifth-Ray Cut Out Offloads the fifth metatarsal head and provides more room in the shoe. Used for patients with pain or calluses. Heel Cushion Cushions the heel for patients exhibiting heel pain due to conditions such as heel spurs or Sever’s disease. First-Ray Cut Out Allows the first metatarsal head to plantarflex and provides more room in the shoe. Used for patients with restricted motion of the first metatarsal joint. Can also be used for patients with sesamoiditis and hallux valgus. Heel Lift Provides a vertical lift to the heel for propulsive power and is used for patients with Achilles tendonitis or leg-length discrepancies. 1.800.779.3668 9 Accommodations 10 Heelmaxx™ Pads and offloads the central portion of the calcaneus. Used in patients with heel pain due to conditions such as plantar fasciitis, heel spurs or Sever’s disease. Met Bar Offloads the metatarsal heads distal to the placement of the met bar. Recommended for patients with calluses or other lesions on the metatarsal heads or for patients with metatarsalgia. High Flange Provides brace-like support for flat feet and extreme supination. Use in patients with flat feet, severe pronation, accessory navicular or a collapsed midtarsal joint. Met Pad Spreads and offloads the metatarsal head distal to where the pad is placed. Used for patients with calluses, lesions, dropped metatarsal heads or metatarsalgia. Horseshoe Pad Offloads the central area of the plantar surface of the heel. Used in patients with conditions such as plantar fasciitis, heel spurs or Sever’s disease. Morton’s Extension Elevates and supports the first metatarsal head and first toe. Used for patients with Morton’s toe or limited motion of the first metatarsal joint. Lesion Accommodation Offloads a specific area on the plantar surface of the foot when patients have lesions or calluses. Neuroma Pad Spreads two metatarsal heads in order to relieve a pinched intermetatarsal nerve. Used for patients with neuromas. Scaphoid Pad Increases arch support and cushioning with an accommodative material. Recommended for patients with severe over-pronation, a rigid cavus foot or pain in the mediallongitudinal arch. U-Pad Offloads certain metatarsal heads and provides support and cushioning for other metatarsal heads. Used in patients with lesions, calluses or Intractable Plantar Keratomas (IPK) or with plantarflexed metatarsal heads. Toe Crest Pad Offloads the toes of patients with hammer toes, claw toes or distal corns and calluses. Wide Medial Flange Provides extra wide support for adult flat feet.
