Visqueen Radon Protection System
Independently Accredited by BRE Certification Ltd (Certificate Number 083/01) Visqueen Radon Membrane
is an unreinforced polyethylene membrane, suitable for use in the protection of buildings from the ingress
of Radon gas. Visqueen Radon Membrane will act as an effective passive radon membrane in most typical
applications when installed in accordance with manufacturers instructions and will also act as a damp proof
membrane. For ease of identification on site, the membrane is coloured red.

Visqueen Low Permeability Gas Membrane
CE Mark to EN 13967
Offers a safe solution for the protection of buildings against radon, carbon dioxide and low levels of methane
gas when installed in accordance with the relevant codes of practice.
The membrane is supplied in 4m x 12.5 roll and has a centre fold. It is flexible and is easy to install, and is
also suitable for use as a damp proof membrane. For ease of identification on site the membrane is coloured
yellow.

Visqueen Liquid Gas Membrane
Visqueen Liquid Gas Membrane is used for providing damp proofing, gas proofing or waterproofing for a
range of applications, including: Gas and waterproofing of basement structures and lift pits

Visqueen Gas Barrier Membrane
Offers a safe solution for the protection of buildings against methane, radon and carbon dioxide, when
installed in accordance with the relevant codes of practice. Visqueen Gas barrier is a multi-layer reinforced
polyethylene membrane with an integral aluminum foil. For ease of identification on site Visqueen Gas
Barrier is coloured blue on one side and silver on the reverse.

Proofex Total Membrane
Reinforced gas membrane designed to protect buildings and their occupants from the effects of methane,
radon, carbon dioxide and other harmful gases. Like conventional ground membranes, Proofex Total also acts
as a damp-proof membrane to help protect the building against the ingress of moisture from the ground.

Proofex 3000MR
A high performance self adhesive membrane for resisting methane, radon and CO², and preventing water
entering buildings. Proofex 3000MR also provides a vapour and waterproof membrane to water excluding

Twinshield
Manufactured from twin wall polypropylene board that is tough, durable, impact and chemical
resistant, non-toxic and waterproof. TwinShield does not stain and is suitable for all round
protection.
• Available in LPS 1207 flame retardant because of the increased concern about the role of
combustible materials fuelling major fires.
• Twinshield meets the very stringent quality control standards of the LPCB.
• Simply and quickly cut, curved or creased, lightweight and easy to position.

Combigrid
Combigrid is a biaxial Geogrid incorporating a non-woven geotextile. With Combigrid, the geotextile layer is
heat-bonded between the lateral and longitudinal grid elements, forming a completely integrated finished
product. Combigrids are mainly used in conjunction with soft and low CBR (California bearing ratio) soils
where soil reinforcement in conjunction with separation and filtration is required. The main advantages over
using separate products are that Combigrid reduces handling, storage and installation time and costs.
Gabions
Gabions and Mattresses offer a fast effective solution for many earth stabilisation problems. Gabion
systems are widely used in many applications including retaining walls, erosion control, scour prevention,
landscaping and for coastal protection, in applications such as river and sea control. The strength and
flexibility of the welded mesh helps with stand and absorb the forces generated by retained earth or water
flow.
Erosion Control
SIG Geotechnical Centre offers a full range of both biodegradable and non-biodegradable erosion control
matting. The comprehensive range on offer from SIG Geotechnical Centre ensures a cost effective solution to
any erosion application you may have.
Envirotrak
Envirotrak is a lightweight high load paving reinforcement system manufactured from recycled plastics with
a cellular construction. Envirotrak’s unique interlocking design coupled with high loading strength provides
a strong and robust surface. Envirotrak can take loads of up to 350 tonnes per square metre. It is extremely
versatile and may be used in a wide range of applications. The interlocking design not only means it is easy
to piece together but also stays securely in place when being installed.
Envirotrak can be filled with grass or gravel. When used with top soil and seed a 95% grass covering is
provided, giving an aesthetically pleasing natural finish. Alternatively gravel can be used giving a robust and
stable base with fast water dispersion, whilst reducing the loss of expensive gravel and preventing rutting
and movement. The cell design also allows excellent water dispersion making it an ideal product for areas
prone to flooding, and can also be used as part of a SUDS system (sustainable urban drainage system).
Demarcation blocks are also available as infills on the Envirotrak. Perfect for directing traffic or marking out
areas such as car parking spaces.

Hychairs A Type
A welded girder for supporting reinforcement or fabric without damaging the polythene membrane. Hychairs
are also ideal for dowel bar support. Supplied in 2m lengths, pack size 50m. Maximum advised spacing 1m.
Suggested usage 10m/sheet.

Circular Wire Spacers
An economical way of supporting top steel in slabs, the hoops are formed into a 1m diameter circle. 4/5
hoops per standard full size sheet of mesh are normally sufficient.
Available in sizes 50mm - 200mm in 3m lengths
Alti-Spacer
Alti-Spacer is a welded snake wire spacer for supporting reinforcement of fabric, which is stronger than
normal high chair and circular spacers, making it extremely reliable and safe on site. Alti-Spacer is easy to
handle and requires no tying so is extremely quick to set up on site.

A flexible PVC sleeve to DOT specification, in diameters 12 - 32mm . Compressible foam plugs available for
use in expansion joints.
Expansion Dowel Caps
A rigid tube 100mm length with 25mm of compressible filler, designed as a tight fit over dowel bars in
expansion joint. Supplied in 100s. If combining both sleeves and caps, use next size up for the cap.
Grey Rebar Protection
Alti-Shield
It is a cost effective and time saving alternative to individual re-bar protection caps. It ensures that all re-bars
are covered in long runs quickly, tightly and safely to protect workers on site. Alti-Shield’s unique gripping
teeth design makes it suitable for use on both horizontal and vertical reinforcing bars for 8mm to 40mm
without any additional fixing.

Alti-Shield Max has a 1.5mm thick metal strip running down the spine of the protector to prevent the
reinforcing bar piercing the protector should a worker fall from height.

Cardboard Bolt Boxes
A waxed cardboard cone which can be cut away when no longer required.

key in the concrete.

Tie Bar System
15mm Thru-Tie System
A quick release 15mm tie system. The bar is supplied in 6m lengths. 20 & 26mm tie bar also available as
well as bespoke lengths.
Wing Nuts & Waler Plates
A knock-on wing nut used in conjunction with waler plates for securing the bar in formwork applications.
Can also be supplied for 20mm and 26mm tie bars. 100 per bag but supplied individually.
Connection Nuts
Joint nuts are used to join the rods complete with centre stop to ensure equal spacing inside the connector.
The shorter hexnut is available for use where access is restricted. A connection nut with a built in water
barrier is also available.
Thruty Sleeve
Thruty sleeve is a rigid PVC tube of 2mm wall thickness, supplied in 2 metre lengths which can easily be
cut to the required size. It is used as an expendable sleeve over tie bolts, facilitating their removal and also
acting as a spacer to ensure correct width of wall.

Thruty Cones
Thruty cones are used at the ends of the thruty sleeve and can be easily extracted after removal of the
formwork, to form a chamfered recess for subsequent grouting.

Other sizes available to suit 20mm and 26mm system.
Plastic Stoppers
Used with plastic sleeve/tube to form a watertight seal. For tube internal diameters.

Tiefill
For the filling of tie-holes formed by formwork bolts in new construction, particularly where a rapid setting,
durable, waterproof mortar is required.

Polymer modified, shrinkage compensated and fibre-reinforced plug that provide a water tight seal.

Alti-Form
Alti-Form is a compact beamform sheet which maintains the strength of traditional formwork and other
proprietary systems but without the bulk. The reduced size means that cutting and wastage on site is

Clayboard® is a unique, environmentally friendly void former and foundation stabiliser. Clayboard® is a
biodegradable honeycomb core set between lightweight polypropylene facings.

Clayboard® is delivered to site on lightweight pads for easy unloading and is polythene wrapped for
protection. Thickness depends on the depth of the required void which should be specified by the soil

Alti-Mesh
Alti-Mesh is economical and lighter to handle when compared to standard fabric. It maintains the specific
weight per m² in the sheet, excluding the lap zone. Alti-Mesh has 200mm edge overhang, as opposed to
Standard A fabrics with a 100mm edge overhang. Alti-Mesh has 1 less longitudinal wire and 1 less crosswire
Reduced weight and price per sheet compared to Standard Fabric. Less prone to damage compared to
Flying-End Fabric.
Couplers
MBT Couplers
The MBT range of couplers provides a cost-effective method of joining reinforcing bars. They are easy
to install. Neither bar end preparation to form threads, nor bar rotation are required. MBT couplers can
also be used to join imperial, plain round or deformed reinforcing bars. When the pre-determined tightening
torque for the bolts is reached, the heads shear off leaving the top of the installed bolt slightly proud of the
coupler. This provides an instant visual check of correct installation.
MBT ET Series Couplers
ET series couplers are used to connect reinforcing bars of the same size. They can be used when neither bar
can be rotated and are available in sizes 10mm to 40mm.

Concrete Mould Oil (BCA Category 5)
Is a high quality mould oil for general site and precast yard use that achieves a top quality concrete finish in

Safetard Gel

A transparent, gel type composition, colour tinted to assist application. Safetard Gel has been formulated to

Chemical release agent (BCA Category 2)
Is a release agent designed for general site use to achieve easy formwork release. It is a blend of reactive oils
in a partially evaporative rapid drying hydrocarbon carrier. The carrier dries to form a positive barrier coating
on the form face. This leaves the reactive materials that subsequently combine with alkalis in the concrete
to form soaps at the interface of the formwork barrier coating and the concrete. This double action not only
facilitates easy formwork release and first class concrete finish but also maintains a degree of formwork
cleanliness beyond that generally obtained by other release agents.

Adocure Sealer
A clear, acrylic polymer resin solution primarily for application to surfaces of freshly laid concrete where

Adcor® 500S
A conformable, swellable polymer/butyl rubber waterstop strip for construction joints that expands in
contact with water. When fully encapsulated by poured concrete, the expansive forces form a seal against
concrete faces. The seal resists hydrostatic pressure, stopping water from entering sub-structures. Adcor®
is a unique product that has been specifically developed to provide better performance than conventional
swellable rubber waterstops.

Supercast SW10 and SW20 are hydrophilic waterstops for use in water retaining and water excluding

Renderoc Plug is a rapid setting mortar which is easy to apply to horizontal, vertical or overhead surfaces
at a wide range of thicknesses. There are two grades available: Renderoc Plug 1 with an initial set time of
approximately one minute, and Renderoc Plug 20 with an initial set time of approximately 20 minutes. (Set
times are based on ambient/substrate temperatures of 20°C).

Dual Stop Bentonite Waterstop
Dual Stop Waterstop is a Bentonite based waterstop which reacts in contact with water by swelling to
form a watertight seal in concrete structures. Dual Stop Waterstop has been specifically designed to seal
construction joints against the ingress or outgress of liquids in water retaining or excluding structures.
Hydrotite
Hydrotite is the original expanding rubber used in a variety of applications for sealing joints against water
penetration. Initially developed for sealing segmental concrete tunnel linings, Hydrotite is a compound of
polychloroprene (Neoprene) and hydrophilic resin, which expands when in contact with water, providing a
self-sealing and easy to use alternative to traditional methods. Ideal for water retaining structures to achieve
watertight insitu concrete joints.
Thoro Waterplug
Thoro Waterplug is a blend of hydraulic cements, well graded sands and chemical additives supplied in a
dry powder form. It requires only the addition of clean water to produce a ready to use, ultra-rapid setting
plugging mortar.

Fastfill WP is a safe and simple to use ultra-rapid setting mortar for arresting water seepage and infiltration
under pressure through cracks, joints and voids in concrete and masonry prior to the application of
cementitious coatings and mortars. It is a single component, polymer modified, fibre reinforced mortar
based on shrinkage compensated Portland Cement, which is non-caustic in use.

Sika 1 Pre Batched Mortars
Sika 1 Pre-Batched Mortars are blends of specially graded aggregates, sand and cements manufactured to
the correct mixing ratio, given below. The four graded bags (Spritz, Render, Finish, and Screeding) make up
the Sika 1 Pre-Bagged Tanking system. This consists of a three-coat render for the walls and a 35mm thick
floor screed. The Sika 1 additive is first diluted with clean water at a 1:10 ratio, and then mixed with each
bag. Sika 1 Pre-Batched Mortars can be used in the following uses, structural waterproofing to resist water
pressure below ground, moisture and dampness above ground level and internal waterproof tanking. This

Arditex NA
Arditex NA is a self-smoothing, protein free, low odour latex levelling compound. It is used for the
preparation of cement/sand and concrete screeds, metal, quarry tiles, asphalt flooring (grade 1), granolithic

Arditex RS Plus
A cost effective, self-smoothing latex levelling Compound with excellent properties of adhesion and water
resistance. It is designed for use on sub-floors such as concrete, cement and sand screeds, terrazzo and
quarry tiles etc. Arditex RS Plus may also be applied to dense impervious surfaces such as ceramic tiles and
steel sub floors that have been primed with Ardex P 82 Primer. Arditex RS Plus can be laid from a feather

Five Star Grout
A standard cementitious grout developed for applications where an economical grout with good flow and
strength is required. Five Star Grouts are based on specially selected Portland cements, graded aggregates
and admixtures including a special form of carbon. This special formulation produces a grout that conforms
to ASTM C827 Early Volume Change of Cementitious Mixtures. Does not contain iron, aluminium or other

Debonding Sleeves
Debonding sleeves are used on plain-ended wall ties at vertical movement joints. The tie will restrain
the masonry against lateral wind loads but the sleeve will allow the masonry to expand or contract. A

Hyload DPC Fixing Strip
The Fixing Strip is a semi- rigid plastic strip 25mm x 3mm x 2m pre-drilled at 150mm centres.
For surface fixing any Hyload high performance DPC to the inner leaf.
Hyload DPC Fixing Pins
Used with Hyload DPC Fixing Strip, Fixing Pins for Masonry can be used for surface fixing to solid internal
substrates such as blockwork, stone and concrete. Composite inner skins require Hyload DPC Fixing Pins for
Insulation to ensure correct fixing.
Hyload DPC Jointing Tape
A double sided self adhesive bituminous tape, 10m x 100mm, for bonding DPC to DPC, and DPC to
pre-formed cloak units. Before use, ensure that surfaces to be bonded are clean and dry.
Zedex CPT Jointing Tape
All joints in lengths of DPC must be a minimum of 100mm, lapped and bonded using Zedex Jointing Tape.
