TRANSITIONS How to place an announcement: If you are a Missouri Bar member and you’ve moved, been promoted, hired an associate, taken on a partner, or received a promotion or award, we’d like to hear from you. Talks, speeches (unless they are of national stature), CLE presentations and political announcements are not accepted. In addition, Precedent will not print notices of honors determined by other publications (e.g., Super Lawyers, Best Lawyers, etc.). Notices are printed at no cost, must be submitted in writing, and are subject to editing. Items are printed as space is available. News releases regarding lawyers who are not Missouri Bar members in good standing will not be printed. Contact Cynthia Heerboth at (573) 635-4128 if you have questions. Photographs: Professional quality photos submitted with your announcement are also printed at no cost. Attach a label with the subject’s name and address on the back of the photo (do not write on either side of the photo). Group photos are not accepted. Photos may be sent as e-mail attachments to cheerboth@ mobar.org. Photos should have a resolution of 300 dpi in a .jpg format. Deadlines: Precedent is published quarterly, in February, May, August and November. The deadline for announcements is the 15th of the month preceding publication. Zevan, a partner at Zevan & Davidson, L.L.C., received the Thomas G. Strong Trial Attorney Award from the David M. Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys. This award Zevan is given annually to an attorney who demonstrates great advocacy skills in difficult cases, who has handled complex cases with some frequency, and who has a reputation for professionalism, ethics and integrity. John L. Sullivan, a partner at Armstrong Teasdale, L.L.P., has been elected chairman of the Missouri Bankers Association Bank Counsel Advisory Board. Sullivan is leader of the firm’s financial institutions practice group. Firm lawyer Daniel J. Burke has been selected for the 2010-2011 class of Leadership Clayton, a development program Daniel J. sponsored by the Clayton Burke Chamber of Commerce. Angie M. Heeter is the new president and CEO of the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce. Heeter is the former managing partner of the Kansas City office of the law firm of Sonnenschein, Nath & Rosenthal, L.L.P. Michael T. White, a partner at White, Goss, Bowers, March, Schulte & Weisenfels, was presented the 2010 Richard A. King Award at the Missouri Economic Development Financing Association’s annual conference. This annual award is given to someone who shows dedication to the promotion of economic development and noteworthy achievement in economic development. The University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law honored Susan Rodney H. Nichols, of Carnahan, Evans, Cantwell & Brown, P.C., has been elected vice chairman of the Bank Counsel Section of the Missouri Bankers Association.
