Offield Teacher and Principal According to Professor Offield’s records, 8 student entered on October 19th 1914 Elvira Alarid, Irene Bertken, Kenneth Bertken, Calvin Farnsworth Eugene Alarid, Joseph Bertken, Moreland Bertken, Edith Gann. Two entered on October 21, 1914 George and Henry Garber One entered on October 22, 1914 Dorothy Rowland And later, Alice Offield, L.A.Offield’s daughter, Making 12 Students for 1914. In 1915 The School expanded into the Larew Building across the street. Miss Evans was added as a Teacher Opera House Larew Building Presbyterian Church Mariposa Gazette May 27, 1916 MARIPOSA OPERA HOUSE DESTROYED BY FIRE The Mariposa Opera House, long an old firetrap, was totally destroyed by fire between the hours of 5 and 6 o'clock Thursday evening.
