Joe’s Week: Last Thur sday Fr . McK enn a and I went to Uno’s for lunch and then to see Zootopia. It is a very good Disney. We saw it in 3D, but I didn’t notice any 3Dness to it. Save the money. Great for the kids, but there is one scene in the DMV that will have you laughing for a week…That evening, after the “Y,” I went to Fr. Bill Leone’s home for supper. Of course I brought Bailey’s and soda bread. Thanks, Mama Leone, for a great meal…Friday we ended our Bible Study on Ephesians. Thanks to all who came so faithfully. I enjoyed the study, and will do something again soon…After Mass and Adoration, our Ignatian group went to Joan McGuinn’s for our weekly review. Later was supper before Stations of the Cross. The supper has worked out very well, and I’m sure we will plan for it again next year…Saturday morning we decorated for Palm Sunday. Thanks to Cindy and her crew who work so efficiently and with great expertise to make our Church so lovely… Saturday after Mass I joined Bridget and Don Bishop for supper at Grandpa Sam’s in Spencerport and then to the RPO concert. The food was good (the place was packed—people waiting for tables) and the concert featured wonderful playing and singing of pieces that didn’t appeal to me. It’s good to get stretched and listen to stuff outside my experience. At least I know a few more pieces that I don’t particularly like…Sunday after Mass I went to SUNY’s Ice Rink for our “Skate into Spring” party. It was a wonderful time! We had a great turnout and everybody seemed to enjoy themselves. See the pictures at our Facebook page (NativityBrockport). Thanks to all who baked and planned the event, and to those who enjoyed it so much…On Monday I graduated from therapy on my shoulder. It seems much better…Later on Monday morning we had Edelio Paz’s funeral. His family came from Cuba, so we did a little bit in Spanish to respect his heritage. That afternoon I heard confessions at Newman for a couple of hours, then Margo VanEtten and I went to the Eagle for supper…Tuesday morning I had a couple of appointments, went to the “Y,” then heard confessions until the early evening…God bless and have a good week! Sunday Financial Offering Palm Sunday-March 20, 2016 Budget amount needed per week………………$6,067.00 Actual amount received…………………...…...…$5,682.47 Over (under) budget year to date……....……($5,460.28) Attendance……...….…………………………...………..….…456 Thank you for your continued faithful giving! March 27, 2016 Please pray for the soul of Edelio Paz, who passed away last week.
