Insert poster. Approximately 14" x 36". Neat old folds else very near
fine. Poster for the 1958 film based on the Erich Maria Remarque novel
of a German soldier returning from the Eastern Front and his romance
with the daughter of a political prisoner. The well-regard film was
directed by Douglas Sirk and featuring John Gavin and Lilo Pulver. Of
particular interest, the title “A Time to Love” has been neatly aligned
and stapled over the original title: “A Time to Love and a Time to Die”:
apparently the studio’s marketing department felt that love sold better
