Granicus, Inc. provides the County with a streaming media system, and thereby improves the access to public meetings. Meetings are available live on the internet or as searchable archives, which are also used for efficient long-term record keeping. The availability of searchable archives allows a section of a meeting to be retrieved at any time. In addition, documents such as Staff Reports, Agenda’s, and Minutes are synchronized and linked to the audio archive, all of which are available through the Glenn County website. Recorded and live broadcast public meetings are accessed on the Glenn County homepage at www.countyofglenn.net and then clicking the “Listen to Live Meetings” link. Board of Supervisors, Planning Commission, and Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCo) public meetings are archived back to 2006. In May 2010, the Regional Transit Committee and Transportation Commission also began utilizing the audio publication and recording equipment for its public meetings. Over 10,000 people have utilized the system to listen to recordings and/or archives of public meetings as shown on the graph below. The County of Glenn welcomes you to all of the public meetings.
