Services
Q: Can we bring our own caterer to your venue?
A: Barnstormer’s Grill is the exclusive caterer for all our special events.
Q: Can we create our own menu or do we have to use your menus?
A: We have created menus for your selection. If, however, there is a special item or dish you
would like for your event ~ speak to your event coordinator and, if feasible, they will
make the changes to your menu selection.
Q: Can you accommodate special needs for our guest?
A: As long as our staff knows ahead of time of any special needs of your guest, we do
everything in our power to accommodate their needs.
Q: Can we have someone cut the cake?
A: We include cake cutting in our fees. It has been our observation that it is best to let
someone with experience cut the cake.
Policies
Q: How do we reserve your venue?
A: We require a $2000 deposit to secure your date on our calendar. This is a
nonrefundable deposit and will be applied to the balance of your selected package.
Q: Can we do our own set-up and/or clean-up?
A: You may oversee the set-up if you like but our staff will do all the set-up and clean-up
of the event. We do not adjust package pricing.
Frequently Asked Questions & Answers
Q: How long do we have the venue?
A: We do not book any other event in the venue the day of your event. Your party may add
decorations or bring favors and other special items. Our staff will do the set-up the day
prior to your event. On the evening of the event, we ask that the event end by 11:00pm
in order to allow our staff to clean-up and prepare for the next day’s business.
Q: Can we bring our own beer and wine?
A: The State of Georgia prohibits any guests from bringing their own liquor into a place of
business. We will inform you of any guests who are caught violating this policy.
Q: How much is the gratuity?
A: We charge a minimum of 20% gratuity for our tipped employees which includes the
bartender.
Q: Can we bring party favors and other decorations a couple days in advance of our event?
A: No. We are not responsible for any items brought to Candler Field Event Center prior
to your scheduled event.
Q: Can we schedule a tasting of menu items?
A: We can offer a tasting of your selected menu items by appointment only. We
customize every event which requires time to prepare your requested menu items.
Q: Can we change our menu after we have made our selections?
A: Discuss all menu options with your event coordinator. We can replace items with
different items of the same value. We do not allow menu changes within 2 weeks of
your scheduled event.
Q: When do you need the final guest count?
A: Two weeks prior to your event, this is also when final balance is due.
Frequently Asked Questions & Answers
Q: Are there any requirements for the DJ or Band?
A: Due to the very close proximity of the Candler Field Event Center to Barnstormer’s Grill
the museum doors must be kept closed while the restaurant is in operation. The music’s
base must be lowered so as to not reverberate throughout the metal building ~ until
9:30pm when Barnstormer’s Grill closes. All music must be kept clean with no
profanity. We will ask your DJ/Band to change music or lower the sound, if needed.
Q: At the end of our event, can we leave our things until the next business day?
A: Your decorations, party favors and all other items you brought to the venue must be
removed immediately following the end of your event.
Budget and Payment
Q: Can we get our deposit back?
A: Deposits are non-refundable and are applied to your balance.
Q: When is payment due?
A: Half of your payment is due 90 days prior to your event. The final balance is due 2
weeks prior to your event. To reserve the “Hosted” bar, we require a credit card be on file
for the security deposit.
Q: Can we adjust the price of our event by eliminating some of our menu choices?
A: If we eliminate one item we replace it with another of equal value. The package prices
are set and reflect the cost of the food, services rendered, decorations, venue set-up,
break-down and clean-up. We do not adjust package prices.

Bar Options
There are several ways we handle your beverage services,
all selections are customizable.
• Full Cash Bar ~ Guests pay for their own beverages consumed
• Full Host Bar ~ Host pays for all beverages consumed
• Limited Host Bar ~ Host selects the bar drinks that will be served and pays for all
beverages consumed
• Timed Host Bar ~ Host pays for consumption of all beverages for a designated period
of time i.e. during a one hour reception before dinner, at this point the beverage service
becomes a full cash bar
• Limited Money Bar ~ Host sets a cash limit for the amount of money they will spend at
the bar. When said limit is met, beverage service then becomes a full cash bar
• Ticket Bar ~ Host offers each guest a predetermined number of “drink” tickets. Each
ticket is good for one beverage. At the end of the evening the host pays for the number
of tickets redeemed at the bar. At the point where the guests have used all their tickets
they then become responsible for purchasing their own beverages consumed
**Please note: Guest are not permitted by Georgia State Liquor Laws to bring
their own liquor into our facility
***Candler Field Event Center reserves the right to refuse service of liquor to any
guest

Our venue settings are varied and diverse ~ ranging from a large and open museum hangar,
to a smaller and more intimate banquet room...or perhaps you prefer the sunshine of a
beautiful outdoor setting? All of these are possible at Candler Field.
Candler Field Event Center is catered exclusively by Barnstormer’s Grill ~ having our own
on-site caterer means our Chef will be able to accommodate you with menu selections and
any special request you or your guests may have. This capability helps take the stress out
of the task of meal planning. We are always more than happy to offer our assistance to you
in choosing the type of food and beverage service you envision serving at your event.
