Series information 01/2013
December 2012
1. Introduction
Formula Masters China Series will be a new Formula series, aiming to develop young racers and add
another exiting element to the Chinese and Asian motorsport scene.
As Formula racing remains one of the strongest foundations for all professional race drivers, Formula
Masters China Series is specifically designed to support the development of Chinese and Asian
drivers pursuing a professional career in motorsport in either single seaters, touring- or GT cars.
The main focus is on equality within stable budgets to ensure that the best driver wins and not the
one with the best financial opportunities.
As the Scirocco R-Cup China, Audi R8 LMS Cup China, Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia and Porsche
Carrera Cup Asia are all under the umbrella of Volkswagen Group China, Formula Masters China
Series will become the obvious place to source local talent for the respective manufacturers’ series.
