POORTGEBOUW, ORANJERIE, KOETSHUIS, STABLES, CASTLE, ZUIDPAVILJOEN
On the edge of the village of Amerongen lies the extensive Buitenplaats Amerongen estate where you
will find six monumental locations, all perfectly kept, and each with a unique contemporary design
respecting their history. The buildings are located within walking distance from each other, giving you
the opportunity to surprise your guests with a new location and ambiance for each different part of the
wedding. Each building has its own private terrace, so you can hold the toast, cut the cake and have
drinks and dinner outside, weather permitting. The estate's beautiful landscaped gardens add to the
perfect setting for your wedding day.

ORANJERIE, KOETSHUIS OR CASTLE GARDENS
Your civil marriage can be held in the bright sunny Oranjerie or the impressive Koetshuis, with its
modern splendour. When the weather is nice, your wedding can be held outside on the lawn on the south
side of the Castle. This choice depends on your preference and the number of guests expected. Of course
the grounds are exclusively for the use of you and your guests on this day.
If you would like a church wedding as well, the Andrieskerk is within walking distance.

Delicious food and drinks
at Buitenplaats Amerongen
RECEPTION, DRINKS, LUNCH, HIGH TEA, DINNER OR PARTY
Buitenplaats Amerongen is also the perfect place for delicious food and drinks. Whether you would like
a full-service reception or drinks, a sit-down dinner, buffet or informal barbecue, only the best is good
enough for you. Our dishes are always seasonal and prepared with only fresh products. In addition, all
drinks and dishes are presented with care and attention to detail. To complete the picture, you can look
forward to friendly attentive service, beautifully set tables, smart porcelain and gleaming glasswork and
cutlery.

A swinging party
at Buitenplaats Amerongen
KOETSHUIS AND STALLEN
If you would like to end your wedding day with a swinging party, the Koetshuis or Stallen provide a
great venue for a band or DJ. These are the two buildings that can be used as live music venues. We
can even provide torch lights in the driveway for a pleasant wind down to the day.

Six unique locations
at Buitenplaats Amerongen
There are six extraordinary buildings on the Buitenplaats Amerongen estate: the Stallen, the
Zuidpaviljoen, the Poortgebouw, the Oranjerie, the Koetshuis and the Castle. All of these buildings are
national monuments.
ORANJERIE
The attractive Oranjerie, with its tall French doors, was originally used for overwintering the estate's
exotic plants. Now, it provides an intimate and stylish setting, with a gorgeous view of the gardens.
POORTGEBOUW
The 17th-century Poortgebouw is a robust building. It was originally used as stables, a coach-house and
garage. On the ground floor, there is a charming room with a smart contemporary drinks buffet. Large
French doors provide access to a lovely terrace. The former hayloft on the upper floor has an impressive
wooden beam construction and an entirely wooden roof.

KOETSHUIS
The 19th-century Koetshuis once housed the many carriages of the noble families who lived in the Castle.
The past has been carefully preserved in this grand building with its high ceilings and beautiful
contemporary look, combined with classic grandeur.
STALLEN
The 17th-century Stallen (stables) are located opposite the Castle. The original stables are still intact and
add to a warm cosy ambiance. The interior design is based around the use of natural and transparent
materials, such as metal, glass, wood and wool. The superb wool and silk tapestry by artist Claudy
Jongstra is a real eye catcher.
ZUIDPAVILJOEN
Originally, the 17th-century Zuidpaviljoen was used for staff. Now, it is the wedding room, an inspiring
space where we would love to get to know you during the first meetings before your wedding day. There
is also a boardroom in the Zuidpaviljoen, an excellent meeting room for small groups.

EXCLUSIVITY
The buildings mentioned above can be exclusively reserved for private parties and weddings.
We only hold one wedding per day on our estate.
CASTLE
There is a reason why we mention the Castle last. This location plays a very important role in our offer.
The monument is not used as an event location, but, as a part of your wedding day, a visit to the Castle
is an absolute bonus. You can also take magnificent, unforgettable pictures on the steps in front of the
Castle.
The present Castle dates from 1680 and was inhabited by families of diplomats and members of the
military who played a prominent role in national and international politics. The Castle is now a small
museum that showcases various exhibitions.

drinks, dinner and/or party. As a result of this meeting, we will work out an extensive proposition that
meets all your requirements.
Organising your wedding day
When you choose to celebrate your wedding at our estate, we will provide the perfect organisation for
you! Starting with personal and professional guidance before the wedding itself, you can settle all the
details with your own personal wedding expert: menu, wine choices, table layout, special diets and the
final number of guests. Twice a year, we organise a special open day for couples, their parents and other
guests. This is the perfect opportunity to get an idea of what you can expect on your wedding day.
On the day itself
On your big day, you will be guided by one of our leading banquet managers, who will conduct the entire
organisation and running of the wedding and will be the contact person for your master of ceremonies
as well. The only thing you need to do is enjoy each other, your day and your guests. We are looking
forward to organising your wedding!
