ABOUT US
CO2 taller
CO2 Taller is an Architecture Studio led by Carlos Ortiz,
with the maturity and experience earned after almost 14
years and 250 projects as design director with his
previous firm. The main intention of the studio is to
create better spaces to live in, nurturing this goal with
academic work and activism for a better city.
We have the support of Carlos Ortiz’s professional
practice, who for almost 20 years has earned national
and international awards, as well as multiple mentions in
specialized publications, and invitations to forums and
conferences in several universities in Latin America.
There is a genuine concern for improving the city to
provide quality of life to its inhabitants, for achieving
spaces for living that adapt to the ever-changing
conditions of contemporary life, and for creating real
estate products that, in addition of meeting the two
previously mentioned features, are feasible and attractive
for investment.
CO2 taller
We propose an interdisciplinary work scheme, generating
synergies and partnerships with specialists with
outstanding experience on their area of expertise for
support on the development specific projects. Each
associate and advisor is carefully selected according to
his or her previous experiences and knowledge of the
subject.
The client is always a participant in the design process,
when undertaking a project we imprint passion and
commitment with responsibility. The constraints of the
project are considered as important design tools.
We understand that operability, time, and cost are
paramount for the development of a project; we generate
strategies for social and environmental responsibility.
Together with the client, we develop a vision that
transcends the conventional, so that the project becomes
a new architectural posture.
CO2 Studio operates in diverse areas, such as furniture
design, interior design, architecture, urbanism, research,
and real estate development.
