Important Safety information
The USB flash media you have plugged into your PC contains a writable
­partition, allowing it to be used to save and transfer data between PCs. In order
to ensure data safety for your PC, you have received the USB flash m
­ edia in a
sealed package. After the seal is broken, data safety and virus protection is your
responsibility, especially if you are using the USB flash media for transferring data
between PCs.
Some virus scanning software may prevent EXPRESSfit from installing properly.
If you have difficulty while installing EXPRESSfit, you may need to temporarily
­disable your virus scanning software.

Fitting System Instructions for Use
Introduction
This guide contains installation instructions and instructions for use for EXPRESSfit
2015 and Legacy EXPRESSfit 6.4 fitting software. EXPRESSfit 2015 supports
product lines from Sonic, released after 2011 (Products released after Flip). Legacy
EXPRESSfit 6.4 supports Groove, Touch, Pearl and older products.
Installation under Noah
EXPRESSfit 2015 and EXPRESSfit 6.4 can be installed on the same PC. It does not
matter which is installed first.
1. On the USB media, navigate to the partition <EXPRESSFIT>, and there to the
folder of the version you want to install:

2.Start the installation file <setup.exe>
The Installer will guide you through the Installation process.
Standalone Installation
For EXPRESSfit 2015, standalone installation is included in the standard i­nstallation
process.
For EXPRESSfit 6.4, different installer directories and options must be chosen.
This is explained in more detail in the following.
Installation of Standalone EXPRESSfit 2015
During Installation of EXPRESSfit 2015 you are given a choice to select the
different installation options. If Noah is already installed on the computer, by
default EXPRESSfit 2015 will only be installed under Noah. To use the standalone
­installation, change the settings in the installation dialog accordingly.
To start Standalone EXPRESSfit, click Windows Start – all Programs – Sonic –
­EXPRESSfit

Installation of Standalone EXPRESSfit 6.4
1. On the USB media, navigate to the folder named <EF64ST>
2. Start the installation file <setup.exe>
EXPRESSfit 6.4 Standalone offers the following Standalone Installation options:
Local Installation
Patient fitting data is available only on the computer where Legacy EXPRESSfit 6.4
Standalone is installed. Other computers on the network cannot access the patient
fitting data.
Network Server
Patient fitting data is available on the computer where Legacy EXPRESSfit 6.4
Standalone is installed, and to other computers on the network. After installation,
the Network Server computer must be configured to allow other computers on the
network to access the Legacy EXPRESSfit database.
Network Client
Patient fitting data is only available by accessing information stored on a Network
Server. Data is not stored on the computer where Legacy EXPRESSfit Standalone
is installed.
To install Legacy EXPRESSfit 6.4 Standalone, please follow these steps:
1. On the USB media, navigate to the folder named <EF64ST>
2. Start the installation file <start_here.htm>
3. Choose a type of Legacy EXPRESSfit Standalone installation. If Security Warning
Messages appear, click the “Run” button.
4. Follow the instructions on the screen.
Notes:
• The Local Install and Network Server installation options may take up to
45 ­minutes to complete.
• If prompted, it is important that you restart your computer during or after
the ­installation.
• When installing ­Legacy ­EXPRESSfit 6.4 Standalone on any version of the ­Windows
­Vista or Windows 7 operating system, you must be present during
the installation to acknowledge any prompts from the installation software.

Einführung

EXPRESSfit 2015 unterstützt Sonic-Produktreihen, die nach 2011 auf den Markt

Netzwerk-Client
Die Patienten-Anpassdaten sind nur durch das Aufrufen der auf einem
Netzwerk-Server gespeicherten Daten verfügbar. Die Daten sind nicht auf dem
Computer gespeichert, auf dem die Legacy EXPRESSfit Standalone Software
installiert ist.
Führen Sie zur Installation von Legacy EXPRESSfit 6.4 Standalone bitte die
folgenden Schritte aus:
1. Navigieren Sie auf dem USB-Wechseldatenträger zum Ordner <EF64ST>
2. Starten Sie die Installationsdatei <start_here.htm>
3. Wählen Sie die Art der Legacy EXPRESSfit Standalone Installation. Wenn die
Sicherheitswarnmeldung eingeblendet wird, klicken Sie auf die Schaltfläche
„Ausführen“.

Anmerkungen:

Introduzione
Questa guida contiene le istruzioni per l’uso e l’installazione del software di fitting
EXPRESSfit 2015 e EXPRESSfit 6.4 Legacy. EXPRESSfit 2015 supporta le serie
di prodotti Sonic rilasciate dopo il 2011 (prodotti successivi a Flip). La versione

3. Selezionare come tipo di installazione EXPRESSfit standalone Legacy. Se viene

FittingLINK Quick Guide
General Information
FittingLINK is a wireless programming interface which allows fitting of all wireless
products from Sonic supported in EXPRESSfit 2015 or later. FittingLINK is not
compatible with Legacy EXPRESSfit 6.4. FittingLINK is connected to the PC via the
provided dedicated Bluetooth® dongle or USB cable.
The FittingLINK Instructions for Use, provided in the packaging contains important
information about the product, its functions and pairing it with the PC. Please read the
Instructions for Use carefully before using FittingLINK with EXPRESSfit.
The following explanations refer to using FittingLINK to fit wireless products with
EXPRESSfit.
Getting Started
Please prepare FittingLINK and pair it with your PC, as described in the FittingLINK
Instructions for Use. When opening EXPRESSfit the first time after FittingLINK has
been installed on the PC, it will automatically be detected as programming interface.
A dialog will offer to change your preferred programming interface to FittingLINK.
This can be done any time later in Preferences – Communication.
Thereafter FittingLINK can be used in EXPRESSfit.
Detecting and Programming Hearing Instruments
Make sure that FittingLINK is paired with your PC, fully charged, and switched on
(steady green light on the top LED indicator). For safety reasons the hearing instruments should not be in the client’s ear during detection. To ensure a good connection,
make sure that the hearing instruments are aligned the correct way towards the
FittingLINK neck loop antenna. Refer to the ­FittingLINK Instructions for Use.
Open EXPRESSfit and click Use Attached Devices. If FittingLINK is not selected as
the default programming interface, select the FittingLINK option from the Selected
Programmer pull down menu.

Verify Right and Left Hearing Instruments
In the Detect Hearing Instruments dialog, you can play a tone in each hearing
instrument to identify which side it is currently assigned to. If the assignment is
correct, click “Next”. If you would like to change the assignment, click “Exchange”
and then click “Next”.
Thereafter the fitting process is the same.
Connection Lost
The connection to the hearing instruments can be lost if the hearing instruments
get too far out of range of the FittingLINK neck loop antenna, or in the case of a
power failure to the hearing instruments or FittingLINK.
If this happens, EXPRESSfit displays a dialog to indicate which hearing instrument
has lost connection and to offer options to proceed.
If you encounter a connection loss, do not continue fitting. Please check and remove
the cause, and click “Retry”.
Once EXPRESSfit has returned to the fitting screen, you can continue fitting.
For troubleshooting, please also refer to the FittingLINK Instructions for Use.

Erste Schritte

Öffnen Sie EXPRESSfit und klicken Sie auf
Hörgeräte auslesen. Wenn FittingLINK
nicht als Standard-Programmierschnittstelle ausgewählt ist, wählen Sie im
Pulldown-Menü Programmierschnittstelle
die Option FittingLINK.

Überprüfen Sie das rechte und das linke Hörgerät
Im Dialogfeld Hörgeräte erkennen können Sie ein akustisches Signal an jedes
Hörgerät senden, um festzustellen, welcher Seite das jeweilige Hörgerät derzeit
zugewiesen ist. Ist die Zuweisung korrekt, klicken Sie auf “Weiter”. Wenn Sie die
Zuweisung ändern möchten, klicken Sie auf “Wechseln” und anschließend auf
“Weiter”.
Danach führen Sie die Anpassung wie gewohnt durch.
Verbindung verloren
Die Verbindung zu den Hörgeräten kann verloren gehen, wenn sich diese außerhalb
der Reichweite der FittingLINK-Antenne befinden, oder die Batteriespannung in den
Hörgeräten oder der FittingLINK zu gering ist.
In diesem Fall zeigt EXPRESSfit ein Dialogfeld an, das angibt, welches Hörgerät die
Verbindung verloren hat und Optionen zum Fortfahren anbietet.
Überprüfen Sie die Ursache und beseitigen Sie diese. Klicken Sie dann auf
“Wiederholen“.

FittingLINK n’est pas sélectionné comme interface de programmation par défaut,
sélectionnez l’option FittingLINK dans le menu déroulant du Programmeur
sélectionné.

Vérifiez les Appareils auditifs droit et gauche
Dans la boîte de dialogue Détecter les Appareils auditifs, vous pouvez jouer une
note dans chaque appareil auditif pour identifier quel côté est actuellement attribué.
Si l’attribution est correcte, cliquez sur « Suivant ». Si vous souhaitez modifier
l’attribution, cliquez sur « Modifier » et cliquez ensuite sur « Suivant ».
Par la suite, le processus d’ajustement est le même.
Connexion perdue
La connexion aux appareils auditifs peut être perdue si les appareils auditifs sont
trop éloignés de la plage de l’antenne collier de FittingLINK, ou en cas de panne
d’alimentation des appareils auditifs ou FittingLINK.
Si cela se produit, EXPRESSfit affiche une boîte de dialogue pour indiquer quel
instrument auditif a perdu la connexion et proposer des solutions à suivre.
Si vous rencontrez une perte de connexion, ne continuez pas à ajuster. Veuillez
vérifier et réparer la cause, et cliquez sur « Réessayer ».

Verificación de los audífonos derecho e izquierdo
