Arnhem restaurants have something to suit all tastes. They are passionate about cooking and the
service is warm and hospitable. Try the various world cuisines or regional dishes and experience
a culinary evening at a special venue. Weather permitting, the cosy outdoor cafés invite sultry
culinary evenings. The Korenmarkt, Jansplaats and the Rhineboulevard have tempting outdoor cafés
you can hardly resist!

A popular place to meet up with friends, Grand Café
is located near the town centre and the theatres.
Its indoor garden is home to the restaurant, which
serves lunch and dinner and where the chef prepares
tasty dishes. By day you can also drop in for a cup
of coffee and home-made apple pie and later in the
evening for a get-together.
The Rhineboulevard in Arnhem is synonymous with outdoor cafés and
restaurants. Dining56 is at the heart of all this conviviality, where things are
livened up all year.
Our magnificent mansion at number 56 has a restaurant, several dining
rooms, a large sun terrace and cooking studios. Once you have settled down
into a lounge chair, a chair by the water or at a dinner table, you will experience what we had in mind when we took over this restaurant in the early
part of 2011. Contemporary, trendy, classic and refreshing... We put
these ingredients together, gave them a good stir and then simmered them.
We added some colour, flavour and rest ... and voilà, Dining56!
A culinary experience for lunches, snacks, dinners or get-togethers. For
business as well as pleasure. We would love to surprise you with exciting
combinations of our classic cuisine dishes with a modern touch, fair and
pure. And to finish it off, we serve our creations with fine and affordable
wines.
Housed at the front of the monumental Musis
Sacrum, Grand café Mahler offers its guests a
splendid venue for lovely (organic) coffee, lunch,
get-together or dinner. High tea, high wine and a
weekly changing, reasonably priced Mahler dish are
served daily at Grand Café Mahler. We welcome you.

of, among other places, ‘a bridge too far’. Simply

Discover the historic cellars. 30 centuries-old
cellars in the Rijnstraat were virtually unused for
years. These cellars have been restored to their
former glory and connected to each other by passages, creating an almost mysterious underground
place in Arnhem town centre. A subterranean town
with a visible reminder of a distant past. Come
and experience the Historic Cellars yourself! Open
Tuesday to Saturday inclusive from 12 a.m. – 5
p.m. (also during Sunday trading).
Arnhem also has a wide selection of galleries,
museums and attractions. Travel back in time at the
Nederlands Openluchtmuseum (Dutch Open-air
Museum) and discover all aspects of fresh water at
the Nederlands Watermuseum. Art lovers should
not miss the Museum voor Moderne Kunst Arnhem
(Museum of Modern Art) or the Kröller-Müller
Museum. At Burgers’ Zoo you can travel around the
world in one day. For more information on these
top attractions look at page 14 and 15.

Kröller-Müller Museum
Houtkampweg 6, Otterlo. Tel. +31 (0)318-591241, kmm.nl
The Kröller-Müller Museum was named after Helene Kröller-Müller (1869-1939), a
passionate woman. The size and importance of Helene’s lifework are largely explained
by her passion: the Kröller-Müller Museum, in a woodland setting near Otterlo since
1938, houses a world-famous collection of mainly 19th and 20th century art. Helene’s
favourite artist was Vincent van Gogh, which is why the museum displays a sizable
collection of this well-known painter.
Come to the Museum of Modern Art Arnhem (MMKA),
a museum of modern art, and be surprised by one of the
twenty exhibitions a year! The unique permanent collection with, among other things, paintings of the magic
realists, are always on display. In addition temporary
exhibitions on interesting artists or themes are being
organised. During your visit to the museum you can
