We’ve heard such great stories from all those who have been able to connect and learn from these students. Our prayer is that these relationships would take root and the Gospel might be presented and begin to transform the lives of these students. There will be a sign-up at the Welcome Center beginning February 3. If you have questions, please check out NHCC’s website at www.newhopecc.net or talk with Rob Jankowski or Dave Linn. 1 AROUND the WORLD Winter Study The Women’s Study of Isaiah will start up on Monday nights at 7pm on February 11 and Wednesday mornings at 9:15 am along with J.A.M. Time, on February 13. If you were a part of the study in the fall, just come to the Koinonia Classroom again. If you would like to join one of the groups, please call the office at #317769-3647 and let us know your interest so we can be sure to have a book for you! You can still join the study even if you weren't able to in the fall. Isaiah is widely regarded as the greatest of the Old Testament prophets, because he is first and foremost the prophet of redemption. This will be a good time of study, fellowship and digging into God’s Word. Missions Report Our Mission of the Month is the Panama Mission and our Living Link Missionaries, Glen & Sherrie Russell. We have a team from New Hope that left February 1 to go to Panama to work with the Russells in leading VBS for the children in the city of David and those up in the mountains. This is a huge outreach of not only bringing the love of God to the children, but to their families as well. They work with the Obreros (Preachers trained by Glen) so that they are able to carry on the VBS work after our team returns. Those returning to Panama, get to renew friendships they have developed over past trips and those new to the trip, get to meet our welcoming and loving brothers and sisters in Christ. This trip not only helps the church of David and those in the mountains, it is a renewal of spirit for everyone involved. We go the first full week in February, as that is when the children in Panama are out of school on break. If you would like more information, please contact any of the following people from this year’s trip: Bob Lamb, Diana Lamb, Mendi Selby, Melinda Dimiceli, Callie Dale, Shawn Jones, Heather Jones, Matt Wilson or Liz Dale. All will be willing to share their experience. Women’s Events WOMEN’S TEA—All ladies along with their daughters, granddaughters, nieces, and friends are invited to join us here at New Hope for an afternoon tea on Saturday, February 16 at 2pm as we celebrate our distinct honor of all being Daughters of the King! If you have a special tea cup, please bring it and tell why it is special. Young ladies can dress in their favorite ‘dress-up’ clothes! We have plans for a fun time together so please plan to join us! NEW HOPE HELPERS—The New Hope Helpers is a group of ladies who get together to have fellowship and to serve. The ways we serve are by planning for and providing a Mother/ Daughter Banquet, Harvest Dinner, Old Codgers and Ladies Legacy meals. We also serve the church families by providing funeral dinners. Hope to see you there! 2 COLLEGE NEWS CHILDREN’S MINISTRY Luncheon College ‘Luv’ Boxes ‘Luv Box’ Dates & Guidelines: Attention ALL nursery workers, preschool workers, elementary life group leaders and Jr. Church helpers ~ there will be an appreciation luncheon for YOU on Sunday, March 17 after 2nd service in the Fellowship Hall.
