The Wahine in Hawaii Business at Laniākea (WHB) Network As a follow up to the highly successful Wahine in Hawaii Business Forum, the YWCA of O’ahu, in partnership with Hawaii Business, invites you to become a member of this new network for Hawaii’s amazing business women. The Wahine in Hawaii Business Network will create opportunities and shared experiences for business women to connect and learn from each other, build diverse relationships and engage in thoughtful conversations about business issues. This network is ideal for business women looking for peer-to-peer engagement, and those who are driven and interested in building up a community of women in business. The Wahine in Hawaii Business at Laniakea (WHB) Network will include 40 members from 20 leading organizations in Hawaii. Annual network fee to join is $900 per organization (10 events annually). The Network Includes: • 2 YWCA of O’ahu Memberships • 2 Participants to each of the 10 WHB at Laniākea events • 4 “Power” Lunch Sessions Four of the ten events will feature Hawaii Business Magazine headliners from the magazine’s “hot” topics: • December 10, 2008: Leadership: Women of Hawaii Business’ Black Book • February 11, 2009: Building Wealth: Hawaii’s Top Women Financial Advisors • April 8, 2009: Women in the Workplace: Hawaii Business’ Best Places to Work • September 9, 2009: Trailblazing Titas: Women Succeeding in a Male-Dominated Industry Continued Continued • 3 Pau Hana Events Three of the ten events will feature “Business Networking” topics: • January 14, 2009: Hear success stories from some of Hawaii’s leading networkers! • June 10, 2009: to be announced • November 11, 2009: to be announced • 3 Breakfast Events Three of the ten events will feature “Leadership” topics: • March 11, 2009: “Raising Hell”: Survival tips for the workplace • August 12, 2009: to be announced • October 14, 2009: to be announced • Learning Circles: Members will engage in close and interactive conversations with business leaders and each other • Business Networking: Roundtables that enable direct 1:1 networking • Opportunities for 60-second “announcements” to highlight your organization • Recognition as a WHB at Laniakea member on the YWCA’s website and annual LeaderLuncheon printed program • Opportunities to invite additional guests to WHB at Laniakea events: A minimum of 20 extra seats to each event will be made available to YWCA members on a first come first served basis at $50.00 per person.
