Next weeks rosters… Sound Desk: TBA Door: TBA Morning Tea: RBA Clean Up: TBA Offering : TBA from our leadership team this week… The mainly music team consists of Maree Chivers, Robyn Dalziell, Cindy Davidson, Vanessa Fraser, Juliet Maude, Leah Mercer and Yvette Verhoeven. Last Saturday five of the team travelled to Palmerston North for a mainly music conference. Maree led a workshop “ Mid-week Sunday School” modelled on our Rainbow Rock. I was on a panel for “Alternative Church Ideas” sharing about the services we have had targeting our mainly music families. Conference is a great time to be refreshed, encouraged, gathering new ideas and connecting with others involved in mainly music. We had a session on sharing our faith and how to go deeper in conversation in response to a comment made. Using what, where, why, who and how questions helps us to do this. Often we come away from a conversation and beat ourselves up for not having said something. I found the following quote from conference helpful - “If you wait for the ideal moment to bring up spiritual matters to others, you’ll probably never get around to it. Be patient but also persistent. Keep in mind that God can take imperfect opportunities and use them for his perfect purposes.” The Unexpected Adventure – Lee Strobel & Mark Mittelberg.
