FUTURE AREA DEVELOPMENT
In August 2016, the City of Chilliwack and Molson Coors Canada announced plans
to build a new 36-acre high-tech brewery in Chilliwack situated along the northeast
corner of Vedder Road and Kerr Avenue. This project will be one of the largest private
sector projects in the city. Reports of up to 1,000 construction jobs and approximately
200 jobs for employees of the Brewery will help further boost the local economy.
Completion of the new facility is anticipated for late 2018/early 2019.
LOCATION
Chilliwack is located in the Fraser Valley on the eastern border of the Lower Mainland.
Chilliwack has experienced phenomenal growth in recent years with an “open for
business” policy that has inspired business and residents alike to choose Chilliwack.
With a population of 77,936 (a 12.6% increase since 2011), Eagle Landing is centrally
located to service both the north and south sides of this rapidly growing city.
