Signing up to Referee in AYSO San Mateo Region 36 8/8/2015 1 AYSO Volunteer Registration To sign up as an AYSO referee, you must complete: 1. 2. 3. A Volunteer Registration Form every year through www.eayso.org. If you are new to AYSO, you will be provided an 8-digit AYSO ID. "Safe Haven" training at least once every two years through aysotraining.org Referee certification for the age level (training held typically in August and September, prior to Fall Season) a. b. 4. U6/U8 Parent Referee Assistant Referee or Basic (Regional) Referee for U10 and U12 "Concussion Awareness" training through aysotraining.org at least once (strongly encouraged) Youth referees are welcome, as long as they complete the above requirements and are at least 2 years older than the age level they wish to referee. 8/8/2015 2 Online Referee System • All referees for U10, U12, and U14 age levels use http://referee.aysosm.org/ to assign themselves to referee matches. – U6 or U8 parent referees do not use the referee system. • Referees must have a referee system user account to receive team credit. • Referees who do not have an account may: 1. 2. 8/8/2015 Register themselves through the website, or Receive an invitation email prompting them to login (skip to slide #8) 3 Register Directly on Referee Website • Go to http://referee.aysosm.org/ and click on “Logon” 8/8/2015 4 Registration Form • Provide your information, including Badge Level and 8-digit eAYSO ID 8/8/2015 5 Wait for an Invitation Email • The AYSO San Mateo Referee Coordinators will verify your registration information in eAYSO, including completion of the required training, and send you an invitation email. 8/8/2015 6 Invitation Email • If you are just starting, you may receive an email message similar to the one below. Click on the link provided: • Note that your Site Name is listed in this email. It is usually your name. Welcome and thank you for volunteering! Referees are an integral part of the AYSO experience. Without you, there will be no matches. No matches means that the kids will not be able to play in the safe, fair and fun environment provided by AYSO. Here in AYSO Region 36 in San Mateo, we are experimenting with a new system to assign referees to matches. Our hope that this system will make it easier for referees to select matches, to see what matches need to be covered and ease the burden on Assignors seeking referees. We welcome you to sign on to this new system. After this date, this password authorization will have expired. You can use the Password:Reset http://referee.aysosm.org/resetpassword function to obtain a new password. When you next logon, your SiteName is Joe Referee. The SiteName is not case sensitive, but it is sensitive to spelling and special characters like periods or apostrophes. After logging on, your first step will be to go to Services:Profile (Click on Services on the left hand side and then click on Profile) and update your contact information.
