Whilst TAV is moving ahead as one of the leading companies in operating airports at home and abroad, we introduced Izmir to the rest of the world as we constantly raise the quality of our service through our potential and know-how thanks to our highly-skilled personnel and established background. As of March 2016, Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport has been hosting flights to 21 destinations from the Domestic Terminal by 7 airline companies and direct flights to 76 destinations in 29 countries from the International Terminal by 50 airline companies. Succeeded to rank amongst the leading airports with the awareness in environmental and sustainability progress, Adnan Menderes Airport International Terminal was positioned at the top in “Green Airport” category of DOHA Aviation Summit in terms of environmental sensitivity and received The ENVIRONMENTALIST AIRPORT of the Year award. Also awarded with “Innovative Sustainability Practices Award” given by Sustainable Development Association (SKD) for the first time as a result of our “Waste Management Practice” that we had achieved to carry out during the construction of the new domestic terminal, Adnan Menderes Airport was certified with the Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) for the Domestic Terminal and MultiStorey Parking Lot in January 2016. Whilst Adnan Menderes Airport Domestic Terminal is listed amongst 10 airport terminals that have been awarded LEED certification, it is also the first airport in Turkey that has been awarded LEED Silver Certification. In addition to receiving “Obstacle Free Airport Corporation Certificate”, our terminals also have “2nd Level Airport Carbon Emission Verification (Reduction) Certificate of Airports Council International - Europe (ACI Europe) 2013-2014”. Furthermore, in 2015, Adnan Menderes Airport applied for the Neutralization Level, the 4th level in Airport Carbon Accreditation Program held by Airports Council International (ACI) Europe. As part of the program, we invested in a clean energy production facility in Turkey to offset our carbon emission. Following these achievements, in 2015, Environmental Management performance of TAV EGE was crowned with ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and ISO 14064 Management System of Quantification of Greenhouse Gas Emissions at the Organization Level. Hosting aviation services with an innovative service and proactive management mentality, TAV EGE adopts OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System as an integral part of its business culture for its employees, airport users and stakeholders. Giving priority to “Customer Relations Management” and quality, we are glad to obtain concrete results. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our customers, employees, and business partners for their support. Kind regards, F. Erkan BALCI General Manager 3 4 CONTENTS TAV IN BRIEF. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 9 PRIOR TO FLIGHT . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 10 TRANSPORTATION. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 14 PARKING LOT. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 16 CHECK-IN & SECURITY . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 18 FOOD & BEVERAGE . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 22 ACCOMMODATION . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 28 DUTY FREE . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 31 FLIGHT DESTINATIONS. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 37 5 All for one. Powered by The Aviation Valuables Inside 8 www.tavit.aero TAV IN BRIEF TAV Airports is a success story built on the accumulation of knowledge, experience and creativity gained in airport operations, one of world’s most challenging sectors. TAV’s history started in 1997 with the tender for Istanbul Atatürk Airport International Terminal. TAV Airports Holding was established as a joint venture between the Tepe and Akfen Groups, who won the tender. Having grown to become a great success story within a very short period of time, TAV soon became a global brand in airport operations and construction thanks to its know-how, highly skilled human resources and advanced technology. Having gone through a restructuring process in 2006 in line with its goals, TAV re-organized its operational activities under TAV Airports Holding and and construction activities under TAV Construction. Following this re-structuring process, TAV Airports Holding had its initial public offering in February 2007. In May 2012, 38 percent of TAV Airports shares were sold to Aéroports de Paris. Today, TAV Airports, Turkey’s global brand in airport operations, operates Istanbul Atatürk, Ankara Esenboga, Izmir Adnan Menderes, MilasBodrum and Gazipasa-Alanya Airports in Turkey,Tbilisi and Batumi Airports in Georgia, Monastir and Enfidha-Hammamet Airports in Tunisia, Skopje and Ohrid Airports in Macedonia, Medinah Airport in Saudi Arabia and Zagreb Airport in Croatia are also operated by TAV Airports. In addition to airport operations, the holding also operates, through its affiliates and subsidiaries, in auxiliary airport services including dutyfree, food and beverage, ground handling services, IT, security and operation services. As part of these diversified services TAV Airports also operates the duty-free, food and beverage and other commercial areas at Riga Airport in Latvia. In 2015, the company provided services for 780,000 flights and more than 102 million passengers. 9 PRIOR TO FLIGHT LUGGAGE Four your own safety, please prepare your luggage yourself or witness them prepared in your presence. Please take extra care to check all the closed packages and boxes while preparing your luggage. Under no circumstances accept any packages that you are asked to deliver to someone else if you don’t know the content. Make sure you have information from the airline company regarding the prohibited items on your flight. Some substances may be prohibited in checked-in or unchecked-in luggage by the country of origin or destination. Please ask for details when purchasing your ticket. Valuable possessions such as jewellery, cell phone, computer and documents must be carried in your hand luggage. Your luggage may not be accepted on board if; • It may endanger the aircraft, passengers or other cargo on board, • It is not packed properly and securely, • It contains items prohibited by the laws and regulations of the origin, destination or transit country, • It does not comply with the specified size restrictions. Make sure to learn from your airline company the weight limits applicable for luggage and the destination point you need to label your luggage. Double check this information against your ticket. Obtain information on weight and size restrictions on hand luggage. Make sure to label your luggage to display information such as your name/surname, phone number and address. Labels can be obtained from airline desks. Do not leave labels from your previous flights on your luggage. Please do not forget that goods wrapped in sacks, plastic bags, tins, and plastic barrels are not classified as safe luggage, therefore will not be accepted on board either as cargo or hand luggage. Sharp, abrasive and explosive items such as jack-knives, knives, nail clippers and lighters are considered dangerous for security reasons therefore not allowed on board. Make sure you do not have such items in your luggage. Please remember that you will need to pay your airline company for any extra luggage over the specified limits. Check the information on the labels given to you for your luggage. Do not take charge of any luggage that is not your own. Please kindly apply to Lost & Found Office of the Ground Handling Services Providers (TGS, HAVAŞ, ÇELEBİ) of the related airline company for any missing luggage or damages at the destination, before leaving the airport. Please present your flight ticket, baggage labels and ID during your applications. 10 11 H A N D L U G G A G E R EG U L AT I O N S CA BIN LUGGAGE Items prohibited in the cabin luggage are listed in the National Civil Aviation Security Program APPENDIX-17.
